4 weeks. Phase one nearly complete.

This is what happens when we stop guessing and start putting some structure around the basics.

For the last 4 weeks I’ve taken care of his training in the gym, his nutrition and the daily habits and routines outside of it.

Nothing extreme. No stupid diet. No living in the gym.

Just a clear plan, consistency and adjustments where needed.

The goal of this first phase was simple: clean things up.

Drop some body fat, improve his routine, get his training moving in the right direction and put us in a much better position for what comes next.

And I think the photos speak for themselves šŸ‘

But this isn’t the finished product.

We’re now coming to the end of the clean up phase and getting ready to change gears.

Next phase šŸ‘‰ BUILD.

More food.
More strength.
More muscle.
And a completely different physique over the coming months.

4 weeks down. We’re only just getting going. šŸ’Ŗ

If you’re training hard but feel like you’re guessing with the rest of it, drop me a message.

After 10 years of coaching, I’ve realised something.

Fitness has become really fu***ng complicated.

Every week there’s another exercise you have to be doing.

Another supplement you apparently need.

Another diet.

Another training method.

Another hack.

Another person telling you everything you’ve been doing is wrong.

And yet after a decade of doing this…

the stuff that worked 10 years ago still works today.

Lift weights.

Do your cardio.

Get your steps.

Eat according to your goal.

Recover properly.

Enjoy your life.

Then wake up and do it again.

It’s not sexy.

It’s not revolutionary.

And it’ll probably never go viral.

But it fu***ng works.

The clients I’ve had the privilege of coaching over the last 10 years haven’t transformed because I found some secret nobody else knew about.

They got results because we agreed on the work that needed doing…

and then we kept doing it.

Not perfectly.

Not without holidays, meals out, s**t weeks, missed sessions, kids, work and everything else life throws at you.

Consistently.

And going into October, that’s what I want NKPT to represent more than ever.

THE STANDARD.

Do the basics.

Do them well.

Do them consistently.

I don’t need perfect clients.

I want people who are willing to work, communicate, learn and keep going when things aren’t perfect.

In return, I’ll give you everything I’ve learned from 10 years of coaching.

And the transformation in this post?

That’s what happens when the basics stop being something you occasionally do and become your standard.

Nothing fancy.

Just done properly.

Lydia was so focused on lowering her BMI, she couldn’t see how much her body had already changed.

Let me be clear, in Lydia’s situation the BMI number genuinely matters.

She needs to reach a specific BMI for medical reasons. It isn’t just an arbitrary target or a number we can simply ignore. Reaching it could directly affect the next stage of her medical journey, so getting there remains our priority.

Over the last 16 weeks, we’ve followed a clear plan:

Two resistance training sessions each week
Two functional training sessions
Three cardio sessions
A nutrition plan built around foods she enjoys
And between 8,000 and 12,000 steps every day

We’re now only a week or so away from reaching that required number.

But because Lydia has been so focused on her BMI, she’s struggled to recognise everything else she has achieved along the way.

She’s leaner, stronger, fitter and has completely changed her body while building habits she can maintain.

The BMI target matters, and we will get there.

But Lydia’s progress deserves to be seen and celebrated too. šŸ‘

Now let’s get this over the line.

He’d already lost weight before he came to me.

And I think that’s important to say.

I’m not going to stick two photos next to each other and pretend every bit of his progress was because of me šŸ˜‚

He’d done really well on his own.

Then he hit a brick wall.

When we first spoke, one thing he said stuck with me.

He’d watched his dad commit to his career over his health and had seen the negative impact that had.

He didn’t want the same thing.

He wanted to feel comfortable in his clothes and take his shirt off on holiday without thinking about it.

But more importantly, he wanted fitness to become part of his life so he could be an active and engaged dad now and in the future.

So we didn’t start with some ridiculous transformation plan.

We built a routine.

We improved his training.

We worked on his technique.

We structured his nutrition.

We focused on maintaining muscle while losing body fat.

And we built his knowledge so eventually he doesn’t need me standing over his shoulder telling him what to do.

Since then?

Another 10kg gone.

And we’ve built a significant amount of muscle along the way.

But the bit I’m most interested in is that the original goal hasn’t changed.

He wants a physique he’s proud of without being permanently hungry, knackered or having fitness consume his life.

That’s coaching to me.

And that’s why I’m so confident about FORTY.

The coaching isn’t the experiment.

I’ve already seen what happens when you give someone the right plan, education and accountability.

FORTY is taking that…

and putting 15 people through it together.

13 days.

30/08/2026

Two days left here šŸ‡ŖšŸ‡ø then it’s back home and time to get to work.

I’ve spent a lot of this holiday building, tweaking and thinking about FORTY.

And the more I’ve worked on it, the more excited I’ve become about what this could turn into.

Not just another 12 week transformation.

I want to build a group of people who train individually, eat according to their own goals and have their own lives…

but feel like they’re doing it together.

The coaching is individual.

The experience is shared.

And Season One is where it starts.

15 founding members.
12 weeks.
One team.

When I’m back home, you’ll start seeing a lot more of what this actually looks like behind the scenes.

If you’ve been watching all the FORTY content thinking about joining but haven’t messaged me yet…

DM me ā€œFORTYā€.

Asked ChatGPT to warn someone about me before meeting me for the first time…

Apparently I’m a 6’4ā€ overthinker with a gym obsession, a golf problem, 17 tabs open at all times and absolutely no ability to hide what I’m thinking with my face šŸ˜‚

Fair assessment to be honest.

The older I get, the more I realise I’m pretty simple.

I care about my family.
I care about my work.
I love training.
I love golf.
I take the p**s out of people I like.
And I have very little patience for unnecessary bulls**t.

Apparently there’s a soft centre under all that sarcasm as well.

Not sure I agree with that bit. šŸ˜‚

Try it out for yourself and comment your results below.
