Eagles 10 - Stockton Cubs 39

Tough game for the eagles today. We just couldnโ€™t keep up in the first two quarters making some passing mistakes which made our jobs a lot harder. Quarter three we started to play some good netball and the game became a lot more even but we just couldnโ€™t recover from the start. Finishing quarter 4 very well and back to our usual play. As always the girls still supported each other throughout which shows what being on a team is all about well done girls we go again next week. ๐Ÿฆ…

A big Nighthawks welcome to our visitors from Marthaโ€™s Vineyard, Massachusetts! ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿ’œ

Some of our players have been taking part in an American exchange and were excited to bring their exchange partners along to support us this weekend and introduce them to the game that is netball! ๐Ÿโœจ

Phoenix 21โ€“ 17 Altrincham Meteors

What a great game from Phoenix! Despite the early start, the girls came out fighting and full of energy from the very first whistle.

The first quarter was highly competitive, with some fantastic interceptions helping Phoenix stay level with the opposition. Building on that momentum, the team took the lead in the second quarter and never looked back.

The girls showed great determination throughout the match, working hard for every ball and supporting each other across the court. Coach Carolyn provided excellent guidance and encouragement, helping every player stay focused and confident.

This was truly a team performance, with outstanding teamwork and commitment from everyone involved.

The girls were off quickly after the match, so apologies for the old team photo.

A well-deserved 21-17 victory. Congratulations, Phoenix!

Sparrowhawks 28 - 16 Alti Avengers

Sparrowhawks went into the game as favourites to win and cemented that tag with a good win.

We gently welcomed back Ruby into the team following a lengthy injury as she continued to build up her rehab.

We established an early lead in the first quarter 9-4 but really pressed the accelerator in the second winning it 6-1 to take control of the game with a 15-5 half time score.

That continued in the third as we won that 9-4 to take a 28-9 advantage in the final quarter.

We took our foot off and allowed our opponents to win the last quarter 7-4 but the damage had been done in the earlier three quarters.

Great win

Firecrests v Warrington Wildfire

40-5 win ๐Ÿ™Œ

PP Freya I ๐Ÿ’ซ

CP Hattie ๐ŸŒŸ

Commanding performance from Firecrests. The opposition only started with 5 players which they played with for most of Q1 which allowed Firecrests to build a strong lead of 9-1. However, even when they had their full 7 on court Firecrests still dominated the game playing fast and furious, fighting for every ball, reading the oppositions passes brilliantly to swoop in and intercept, quickly moving the ball down court and some brilliant shooting.

Well done PP Freya, shooting was ๐Ÿ”ฅ and great decisions in the D of when to pass and shoot and CP Hattie always on the hunt for the ball with some brilliant 1 armed swoops ๐ŸŒŸ

Falcons - 22
Northwich Sapphires - 22

What a game! This was one of the best matches weโ€™ve seen all season, with both teams battling hard from the first whistle to the last. It was neck and neck throughout, with neither side willing to give an inch.

At one stage, Falcons managed to build a three goal lead. However, the opposition showed great resilience and fought their way back into the game, keeping the contest alive right until the final moments.

In the end, the match finished as a well deserved draw, a fair reflection of two teams who gave absolutely everything on court.

The Falconsโ€™ performance today was outstanding. The teamwork was exceptional, with great passing, intelligent movement, and some excellent shooting throughout the match. Every player contributed, working tirelessly for one another and demonstrating fantastic team spirit.

Well done Falcons ๐Ÿ’œ

*Ospreys v Boughton Belles Blades*

*Win 29-14*

A slow start from both sides during the first Q, with a lot of back and to-ing across the court. After a focused chat with Carolyn going into Q2, the girls were able to reset, and control the game with improved movement and game play. They created space to maximise opportunities and work the ball down the court. A strong scoreline of 29-14 at the final whistle ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿป well done Ospreys ๐Ÿ’œ

WIN 43 v 13

Nighthawks came out firing in todayโ€™s game against Cheshire Stars Firebirds. They took an early lead, extending it further as the game progressed.

Defence was tight throughout, turning over ball and forcing opposition errors.
The middies were fluent in both attack and defence, delivering clean balls to the shooters who created great space and sunk 43 fantastic goals.

A game full of energy, strong connections and passion. Cheered on by our American exchange friends, your support was much appreciated

Starlings 16 v Warrington white Blaze 18

It was always going to be tough against top of the league.
The start of first quarter Warrington pulled away but the Starlings found their stride and it was neck and neck for the rest of the match. Warrington just pipped us at the post but it could have gone either way.
Starlings played as a team supporting and looking after each other. Each player never giving up. We are all so proud of the progress you have made this year. ๐Ÿ’œ
