DEFENSIVE TECHNICAL BLOCK
What a fantastic block of defensive technical work from the girls! Their commitment, intensity and willingness to challenge themselves throughout each session has been outstanding.
Across the block, we focused on developing the key defensive skills needed to make an impact on court:
🔹 3Ds – Delay, Dictate & Deny
🔹 Applying pressure to shots and blocking rebounds
🔹 Reading the play and predicting interceptions
🔹 Covering, intercepting and quickly recovering back to their player
🔹 2v2 high-pressure match play, competing for every ball
🔹 Developing strong defensive footwork, movement and positioning
🔹 Building confidence to make defensive decisions under pressure
The girls have shown huge improvements in their defensive awareness, intensity and ability to compete, transferring technical skills into realistic game situations. Their attitude and work rate have been exceptional throughout.

Our next technical block will focus on shooting technique, accuracy, movement, decision-making and finishing under pressure.
