Firstly - the 4 boys who finished ahead of me today, well done lads, some brilliant performances 👏🏼

Not my day, I’ve trained hard for this, I came in confident of putting in a seasons best performance. The second picture sums it up, I had to fight and fight hard and I am very proud of how deep I had to dig in. That was very very tough today.

And this is the nature of sport, sometimes it clicks, sometimes it feels like a grind…

And that is absolutely ok. I’m proud to be here, I’m proud to represent the people who support me on the journey, and I’m proud of myself 🫡

HYROX has given everyday athletes like me the chance and opportunity to feel, prepare and act like a professional athlete. This is what I’m grateful for. I love the sport, and will continue to be the best athlete and coach I can be 💪🏼

World Championships - 3 days out 🇸🇪🌎

Touch down in Sweden and getting prepared as best you can is a key fundamental for the performance you want to put out in the race.

No doubt about it, come 14:25 on Friday I am going to be in a race! There are some top top athletes who I’ll be competing against. Some of the boys are here to showcase racing on the world stage, some of the boys are here for the gold 🥇

💯% effort given will be guaranteed, prepared to go to war ⚔️

What will be, will be…

Feeling the love and support as we approach the season showdown - the well wishes, the good luck messages, the support is always appreciated 🙏🙏

The hugs, the pep talks before the start, the last verbal words of encouragement when you’re with those people who have made the journey 🙏🙏

But once you cross that start line you’re left with one thing and one thing only - your mindset.

If you’ve raced HYROX you’ll appreciate the name calls, the shout outs, the eye glances from the spectators…

This is all good until you are left with one thing and one thing only - your desire, your self motivation, your own personal dialog of how much you can push yourself - this is where it counts 💯
