🧗 The Tufa is going... but something pretty special is taking its place 👀
On 1st October, a piece of climbing history is coming to Northwest Face.
As part of the Beal Heritage Tour, we’ll be welcoming La Boule — a legendary route originally climbed at Sainte-Victoire by Patrick Edlinger in 1984 and considered one of the earliest 8a+ routes in climbing history.
And yes, it’s actually coming to our wall! 👀
Using a scan taken directly from the original cliff, the holds have been reproduced to recreate a section of the original route.
There'll be two versions to try:
🧗 8a+ — the original La Boule
🧗 6a+ — a more accessible version for a wider range of climbers
There'll also be the chance to check out and try some Beal products, alongside an exclusive first look at their limited-edition collection of T-shirts and chalk bags created by five artists.
🎉 Come and celebrate with us!
We're making a bit of an occasion of it, with the Beal team joining us at the wall on Thursday evening for the launch.
Expect a bit of an atmosphere, plenty of climbing, some Beal goodies to check out and, of course, the chance to be among the first to get on La Boule at Northwest Face.
Come down, have a climb and help us give it a proper grand opening! 🧗♂️
And for anyone wondering about our beloved Tufa… it comes down on 30th September to make room for all of this! 😭
So you've got until the end of September to give the Tufa a final bit of love before we make way for something very special.
