Warrington half marathon was an experience!
The sun was beaming at points, so I was happy for shade when I got it😅
And apart from my legs, bum, knees, ankles, & hips hurting during & after, we’re all good🤣
Today I made sure I paced myself properly, and not absolutely bombing it at the start & gassing myself out too quick
I kept the heart rate pretty steady, I felt good throughout the race, some points were tough (mainly the hills) so I just took the pace slower on those to reserve the energy
The vibes were amazing, the crowd cheering you on, the sweets being handed out on the side lines, the motivational signs people make, it really does make the difference🥹
Crossing that finish line was the best feeling ever, knowing that all the work I’d put in training for these past 10 weeks specifically for this, and that I’d completed the race, and that it had all been worth it, is why it’s such an achievement for me🫶
To actually be able to say I’ve ran a half marathon is crazyyy to me, when in just March this year I’d got my PB sub 60 10km and said ‘I don’t think I’ll ever be able to run more than 10km’, well this is your reminder to never say never because look who’s just ran over double👀
Thank you to everyone who’s supported through this and now it’s time for me to & .millie to get Hyrox ready, Birmingham here we come!
