What a fantastic week we’ve had celebrating our Pink Week! 🌸

Our players have looked amazing wearing pink to help raise awareness of breast cancer, raise money and support such a wonderful charity. 💕🎗️

It’s been brilliant to see so many players getting involved, enjoying some great games, sharing plenty of smiles and showing what TAG is all about! 🏆😊

A huge thank you to everyone who took part, wore their pink with pride and helped support such an important cause. Every little bit helps! 💗

🌍🏉 WORLD CUP COUNTDOWN MEET PAUL WILSON! 🇮🇪

With the Tag World Cup in Australia now only days away, we’ve been sharing profiles of our GB players, but we also have a player representing Ireland! ☘️

Paul Wilson has been playing tag for a number of years and has been a fantastic addition to our league, both on and off the pitch. Now, he’s getting ready to take on the world stage! 🌏🔥

Here’s Paul’s tag journey so far…

🏉 Paul started playing tag in 2021 at Alan Higgs, looking for a competitive outlet after having to give up Rugby Union. What started as a fun alternative quickly became much more!

➡️ In 2022, he moved to Leamington to play A League before stepping up to Men’s Open, where he spent three years competing.

💪 In 2026, Paul moved into Men’s 37s and took on the captaincy.

☘️ His hard work and dedication paid off when he was selected to represent Ireland in Mixed Seniors in 2026, playing two tests at the B&I before earning his place in the Ireland World Cup squad!

🇮🇪 The World Cup challenge awaits!

Paul and Ireland will face New Zealand, Fiji, France, Hong Kong and Australian Indigenous in the group stages.

The team will spend five days in Sydney before heading up to Coffs Harbour for the tournament. 🌊🏆

Everyone at the league is incredibly proud of Paul and can’t wait to see him represent Ireland on the world stage. We wish him and the whole Ireland squad the very best of luck! 💚☘️

Go well, Paul! Bring it on! 👏🔥

🏆🏉 Only a few days to go until the Tag Rugby World Cup! 🌍

Another player from our region who will be representing GB on the world stage is Mary Dunn! 💙❤️

Mary has been part of our league for several years, and it’s fantastic to see her journey take her all the way to the World Cup! 🙌

Here’s what Mary had to say about her journey:

💬 “I started playing rugby union when I was 16 but gave up in my early 20s as my career and family life took over. A friend recommended Tag to me and after 21 years of no team sports, I was hooked immediately!

I am now so proud of my tag career; I love playing with my Tuesday and Thursday league teams and I have got so much from my time playing Nationals with the W34 Paladins. To get my first GB cap at the age of 47 is something I never imagined, so I’m glad all the training has paid off.

To all my teammates and especially Alan, thanks for making it happen!” ❤️🤍💙

Mary’s story is a brilliant reminder that it’s never too late to get back into sport, challenge yourself and achieve something special! 👏

Everyone in our league is so proud of you, Mary! Best of luck to you and the whole GB squad at the Tag Rugby World Cup. Go smash it! 🌍🏉🔥
