Washington Millennium Centre Trust A Community Centre ran by local people, for local people! This is your Centre, how can you use it? The fitness suite is open 7 days a week.

Washington Millennium Centre is a long standing Community Centre based in the heart of Concord, Washington. In 1996 The old "Oval CA" was partially destroyed by fire leaving only one small building. In 1998 The National Playing Fields Association (NPFA) with support from Sunderland City Council, The Football Association and The Millennium Commission combined to build one of 12 Millennium Centre's nationwide. On July 19th 1999 the centre was officially re-opened by H.R.H The Duke Of Edinburgh and guests. Washington Millennium Centre acts as a Community hub facilitating a range of activities. The centre's Fitness suite was refurbished and extended in 2007 as a result of Barclays Spaces For Sport Funding. The funding enabled us to fully equip the fitness suite with state of the art Technogym equipment. Washington Millennium Centre Fitness Suite has the Latest Technogym equipment including:

•17 Cardio Machines
•11 Resistance Machines
•Free Weights
•Easyline Circuit


Football Activities

The Spaces for Sport Funding also allowed us to refurbish the old outdoor MUGA, replacing the Floodlights, Fencing and installing the new 3rd Generation surface. Hourly Prices are £20 off peak and £30 peak. Meeting Rooms

The centre has 4 meeting rooms. We have meeting rooms which seat from 10, upto 70 delegates

Honesty Library

Our Library offers everything a person would expect from a modern library including free internet access. Borrow a book, swap a book or donate books. Millie's Magical Garden

For all you parents who have never seen our 4th level, I thought I would just show you why your children always want to come back to us!!.... we have invested so much into the experience so your children have an amazing time!!

However, can we just stress, it is just for children age 10 years and under.....we really don't encourage adults to use the soft play, it causes so much damage, which inturn causes repairs and price increases.....we also will strictly not permit children over the age of 10 to use the frame or to assist younger children on it!

Please respect our staff, we have rules, regulations and cut of times in place for a reason 🤩

I put 6 of these balls in the soft play this morning, and hoping this was just an accident, but

A customer has just came and told me another customer has put 4 of them in their bag and left with them

I am actually gob smacked, and would appreciate if they were returned please

AND FOR NOW THERE WILL BE NO BALLS IN THE SOFT PLAY

CUSTOMER NOTICE

This is another reminder that children over the age of 10 years are not allowed on our play frame.

We should be able to trust parents follow our rules.

We will not tolerate threatening behaviour towards our staff because we enforce this rule, its a rule for a reason.

There are other soft plays in the area with a higher age range than us if older children want to play

For now, we will continue to monitor the issue, and should it continue to cause us problems we will have to re-evaluate our rules on who we let even in the hall.

We should not have to let it get to the point where we refuse entry full stop to older siblings, it just spoils it for the little ones that the soft play was actually built for!
