⚠️⛔️ Warning of a road closure towards Cassiobury Park!
The exit for the hill towards the park from the roundabout on Langley Way is currently closed and not showing on Google maps!
But don't worry, if you're driving to park on Parkside Drive you can get there by going around by Cassiobury Infant and Junior schools! Or by driving along Hempstead Road and coming down Stratford Way.
The Gade Avenue car park is open as usual!

🚶You can also get to the park with a short walk after getting on the Metropolitan Line or if you're in Watford you can try a Beryl bike and cycle 🚲

Saturday's are for steam engines 🚂 Chiltern Shuttle will be out pulling trains this Saturday 26th September!

The diesels will start the day and be in and out of service during the afternoon. Our station staff can let you know what engine will be pulling the next train if you want to ride behind a particular one 😄

If you've been for a train ride this summer you may have spotted a pile of track part way round.

This was delivered earlier this year and is some of the track from the Kerrs Miniature Railway in Scotland. The KMR was a historic park railway, just like us, which first opened in 1935. Very sadly the railway closed in 2020 after it became unviable to keep operating.

However, we will keep a little memory of Kerrs going by using the track in some of our projects here at Watford over the next few years. We hope to reach the 85 years that KMR managed (18 years to go!) if not 100 years!
