Welcome to IKK Whitstable, a friendly karate club for the whole family.
Established in its current form in 2019, the club offers karate training for ages 6 and above at Swalecliffe Community Primary School in Whitstable.
Training on Tuesdays and Thursdays with a dedicated team, all with their karate knowledge developed through International Karate Kyokushin.

Introducing IKK Whitstable Karate Club.
We are a family friendly Karate club based in Whitstable, teaching traditional Kyokushin Karate with aspects of discipline and self-defence. Karate is also a great way to meet different people and boost self-confidence while learning a new skill and having fun.

Lucy Lou…
Our first start to 1st Dan. Lucy started with us when Sensei Kevin had just taken over the club. We have seen Lucy grow into a lovely young lady, not only in karate but in life. She is an absolute gem, she has taken the younger crew under her wing, her knowledge is impeccable, her attitude is superb and she’s just fantastic. We could go on forever when talking about Lucy, we are ridiculously proud of her. We are delighted to award her with her personalised 1st Dan belt.

Our Sensei John appreciation post!
A massive congratulations to Sensei John for passing his 3rd Dan grading this weekend. As most will know, at IKK Whitstable we wouldn’t be able to run our dojo the way we do without Sensei John. He is a fantastic instructor, a brilliant mentor, a joy to have in class, when he’s not laughing stood next to Senpai 🤫. When we took over the club in Covid times John was there every week, helping, training, and generally being his amazing self.
From the bottom of our hearts thank you. You are an incredible asset, the calm when we panic and think we have forgotten something, the coffee runner, the smile every time you walk through to dojo doors. We couldn’t and we wouldn’t want to do it without you, and now you don’t have to correct the kids when they call you Sensei.
From everyone at IKK Whitstable a huge congratulations Sensei. Osu. 🥳
