⁉️🤬 ROAD RAGE 🤬⁉️
And why it happens.
Have you noticed how the riskier the driver, the more angry they are?
This is no coincidence.
Heightened stress states create adrenaline surges and therefore, when behind the wheel, there becomes a need for speed and very little patience for anyone who might just be in their way.
And if called out for their reckless behaviour, you bare the brunt of it all!
It is never about you - it's all about them.
What triggers this reaction?
Here are a few possibilities -
• Self - Image
Most like to believe they are safe, competent drivers and being called out creates a clash between that self-image and their behaviour. Rather than admitting fault, they reduce any discomfort by convincing themselves that the other person is at fault.
• Ego Defence
Anger can easily become a defence mechanism.
Instead of feeling embarrassed, ashamed or guilty, anger replaces such uncomfortable emotions as it feels more powerful and protective.
• Fight or Flight
If feeling criticised or challenged, the brain can determine a threat. The amygdala can trigger a fight response before the rational part of the brain has had any chance of assessing the situation, leading to the shouting, hand gestures, tailgating and/or abuse.
Others may include -
• Self-Serving Bias
• Psychological Reactance
• Emotional Regulation Difficulties
And Anonymity Behind the Wheel;
safe in their bubble, distanced from others, meaning heavily reduced empathy and leading to behaviours that would never be displayed in person.
And if you should ever find yourself expressing such behaviours, before you react -
Take a Second - Think - Break the Cycle.
Help to create calmer, safer roads for all.

- TRICK THE HIT -
💡Did You Know
Dopamine is not the result of reward
but is present in anticipation of such reward.
It is the brain's prediction engine and the glue that binds habits.
The dopamine spike motivates behaviour and therefore strengthens memory of the loop.
An action is remembered and the following reward craved even faster.
The habit isn't actually what it is you're doing.
It is what your brain 'expects' to feel.
So;
Trick The Hit -
Pair the action with a quick dopamine hit!
By creating a simple, instant reward,
no matter how silly it may be.
Enjoy!

- PROCRASTINATION & THE HABIT LOOP -
The Habit Loop is a model that explains how our habits form and helps us see why procrastination becomes so automic.
The Four Parts:
1. Cue - The trigger that starts the behaviour.
2. Craving - The feeling and want that the cue creates.
3. Routine - The action you take.
4. Reward - The short term benefit that leads to reinforced behaviour.
How they work hand in hand:
You sit down to work >
You want to avoid the stress, discomfort & effort >
You check social media >
You experience temporary relief from discomfort.
The brain learns that distraction makes you feel better and over time it strengthens, turning procrastination into a habit, rather than a choice.
Break the loop:
Change the 'Routine'.
Eg. Option 1: Scroll. Option 2: Write one paragraph.
Choose option 2 then see the reward change to peace & accomplishment, bringing those stress levels right down.
Give it a go!

Are you a creature of habit?
Or believe you successfully run your own day?
Well...
💡Did You Know...
Research shows that an astounding 43% of your daily behaviours are things you do without even thinking -
actions so automatic that they simply slip beneath your awareness.
It is not a flaw; but revolution.
Now, nearly half of your life is already habitual, yet we can reprogram the system to make it less so.
Tomorrow, during your morning routine, do everything deliberately, with mental narration and notice how strange it feels to be so aware of what has become such habitual activity.
Be deliberate in your actions.
Watch the change.

🎧 THE POWER OF SOUND THERAPY 🎧
Sound therapy may help promote relaxation, reduce stress, improve focus, and support better sleep.
Many people find certain frequencies helpful for creating a sense of calm and even for alleviation of physical pains & niggles.
Commonly used frequencies:
174 Hz – Often associated with pain relief, relaxation, and easing muscle tension.
432 Hz – A tuning frequency many people use for calming music and relaxation.
528 Hz – Popular in wellness communities for stress reduction and emotional well-being.
Binaural Beats:
Delta (0.5–4 Hz): Deep sleep and recovery 😴
Theta (4–8 Hz): Meditation and stress relief 🌙
Alpha (8–13 Hz): Relaxation and a sense of calm ✨
Beta (13–30 Hz): Focus and alertness ⚡
⚠️ Keep in mind -
Some people use sound therapy to help reduce the perception of headaches, migraines, stress, and muscle tension. Including myself!
Results vary, and it should be used as a complementary wellness practice;
not a substitute for medical care.
So put on your headphones, press play, and give yourself a few moments to unwind. Sometimes the best reset is simply taking time to listen.

How are you making your decisions?
Are you aware of your own unconscious process when it comes to having to decide on something?
What if you made decisions consciously,
from inside of you rather than on the basis of
external validation?
The crowd creates fog - find your own light.
