Brancepeth Colliery Air Rifle Club

Well, that Polo challenge seemed to go down a storm - we weren't expecting such a big response! 🎯🍬

Off the back of that we just wanted to say ​a massive welcome to all our new followers! For those who don't know us yet, we are a passionate, not for profit club run by volunteers who just love the sport. Whether you're a seasoned shooter or just starting out, our door is always open:

​• 3 different range lengths with 17 lanes in total, indoor range with plans to expand outdoors in the future.
• Monthly & annual memberships for unlimited access (come as much as you like!).
• A down-to-earth, super friendly community where the banter & brews are just as important as the target practice!

​Speaking of our awesome community, a HUGE shoutout to member Mick J for kindly donating a new air cylinder to the club! Gestures like this mean the world to a volunteer-led club like ours!

Remember the original Polo challenge? You had to suck them until they were paper-thin, terrified they’d snap in half before you finished. Well, here is a bit of a different version! 🎯

Well done to Dale Tinkler on his 1st Place from a whole different kind of Polo precision challenge 🤣 shooting 5 shots right through the hole without cracking a single one!

No sugar rush this time, just rock-solid focus. 🏆

Another huge Well Done tonight goes out to Matthew Gleaves for winning the Camelots bench rest competition yesterday 🏆 It is fantastic to see not just one but TWO of our members taking top positions and it being such a close finish too 👀

Who is in for the inter club competition we are attending there on 12th September? Not that we are competitive or anything but can we take ALL the top spots then...?

One of our members, Alan Thompson, has been a busy bee and has made this Jerrycan mini bar. Ideal for barbecues - put your drinks in and they will stay chilled for hours.

The minibar holds 20 cans and he is asking £50 for anyone interested.

New range at the range!

To end the week we are pleased to introduce our new range.... of clothing!

Here we have some of our members in their best supermodel poses showing them off for us.

Just for a bit of fun: whoever's pic gets the most likes or mentions in comments can choose a free goodie from the tuck shop, and they win bragging rights at the range, of course... may the best man win 🤣

Club monthly competition update 🏆

July has seen some great improvements in scores this month from all of the cards that have been scored so far.

What a weekend!

This weekend club members David, Tango Bob, Mark and Steve D travelled to Wolverhampton to take part in the Benchrest GB competition.

While the guys sadly didn't come out on top the response was that they all put in a valiant effort and learnt a lot. I'm sure that had a fantastic weekend too from the posts I've seen the last couple of days. Sometimes it's what you learn, take from it and put into practice rather than the final outcome on the day. We are sure next time you will smash it 🎯 You are all superstars in our eyes!

We couldn't be happier seeing them sport their (bright!) shirts proudly showing our Brancepeth Colliery logo on the front and the 25 Bull Benchrest and Airgun Accessories logo on the back too! (Also made them easy to spot in the photos 😆)
