Esh Winning are back at home today as we take on Hunwick in a 1:30pm start.

The lads will be looking to bounce back after last week’s defeat against Eppleton, and confidence will be high following a fantastic victory last night in the 15-over format against South Hetton. A special mention to Omar Shahid, who smashed an outstanding 100, well supported by Gabe Maund with 47.

Meanwhile, our 2nd XI are on the road to East Rainton, aiming to continue their winning streak.

Both games get underway at 1:30pm, so if you’re free this afternoon, come down and support the lads! 💙🏏

And don’t forget, the club will be open later on for the England game, so come along, enjoy the cricket, and stay to cheer on the Three Lions with us! ⚽🍻

9pm kick off-bar open from 6.30.

After an impressive away win at Mainsforth, Esh Winning travel to Eppleton looking to make it back-to-back victories.

The talking point from tonight’s success was Gabe Maund’s outstanding 73 from just 37 balls, an innings packed with attacking strokeplay that put Esh firmly in control. With confidence high, Esh will be hoping their in-form batsman can continue where he left off.

There was also a memorable milestone for Billy Storey, who captained the side for the first time in the absence of John.

Eppleton will provide a stern test on their own ground, but Esh arrive full of confidence after a strong team performance at Mainsforth. If the batting unit can build around Maund’s form and the bowlers continue to apply pressure, Esh will fancy their chances of another positive result.

Meanwhile, Esh Winning 2nd XI are back at home against Dawdon and will be looking to carry on the momentum from their excellent midweek victory over Peterlee. Terry Little was the hero on that occasion, finishing unbeaten on 91 and steering Esh to a superb win. His form gives the second team plenty of confidence heading into another important fixture, and they’ll be hoping to make home advantage count as they look for consecutive victories.
