Whether you're an experienced player, returning to rugby after some time away, or looking to try the sport for the first time, we'd love to see you at training. Our sessions are open to all abilities, with a supportive environment both on and off the pitch.

🍻 One week ago today... what a day! 🍻

Last Saturday, the Essington RUFC family swapped the rugby pitch for the pubs as we took on our annual Summer Pub Crawl – and what a brilliant day it was!

We visited six fantastic local venues:

📍 The United Kingdom
📍 The Swan
📍 The Duke of Cambridge
📍 The Milestone

It was great to spend time together away from rugby, catching up, having plenty of laughs, and most importantly showing our support for the brilliant local pubs and clubs that are such a big part of our community.

A huge thank you to every venue that welcomed us throughout the day, and to everyone who came along and made it another memorable club social. Days like these remind us that Essington RUFC is about more than just rugby – it's about friendship, community, and making great memories together.

Round 3 of the Staffordshire Summer Touch Series was one to remember as the Essington Hawks came away as tournament winners! 🙌

Looking back at these photos, it's not just the result we're proud of—it's the way we got there.

Every try, every touch, every bit of support, and every cheer from the sidelines showed exactly what this team is about. We played with confidence, backed each other from the first whistle to the last, and showed the skills we've been building all season.

Whether it was experienced players leading the way or newer faces stepping up, everyone played their part. That's what makes this team so special. ❤️

Touch rugby is more than just the game to us—it's about enjoying every moment, encouraging one another, and creating memories together. The smiles say it all. 📸

For the second time this season, Essington
RUFC proudly fielded two teams—the Hawks and
the Eagles—and what an evening it was!
The temperature was high, but somehow our
energy was even higher. Every single person who
stepped onto that pitch left their heart out there,
showing exactly what Essington RUFC is all
about. The passion for the game, the
determination to work hard, and the willingness
to do everything possible for our teammates
was there for everyone to see. Every player gave
absolutely everything from the first whistle to
the last, and we couldn't be prouder.
More than anything, this tournament has shown
that we're more than just a rugby club—we're a
family. The support, encouragement, and belief
we've shown one another throughout the series
has been incredible, and wearing that pink top
alongside one another has been a privilege.
As the Staffordshire Touch Series comes to an
end, we'd like to say a huge thank you to
everyone who has supported us throughout the
season. Thank you to the Essington RUFC
committee for all of the hard work behind the
scenes to help organise our tournaments, to
everyone who stepped up to take photos and
capture the memories, and to the families,
friends, and supporters who have cheered us on
every single week. Every one of you has played a
part in making each tournament such a fantastic
experience.
Finally, we'd like to say a very special thank you
to Faz, whose final tournament as Head Coach
was Friday night. Your dedication,
encouragement, and unwavering support have
helped shape this team into what it is today.
You've given every player the confidence to grow,
compete, and enjoy the game, and because of
you we've played some incredible touch rugby.
Thank you for everything you've done for this
squad—you've left a lasting impact on every one
of us. 🩷
