Sunday was an emotional one for the Rovers with a few players loosing family members in the week and we’d like to thank Perdiswell for agreeing to a minutes silences and also the Rovers lads who’s been understanding and respectful 🩶🖤
The game started fast with both team creating chances with Bish have the best five minutes in found him self in loads of space in the perdi box turning and shooting but his shot going just wide of the post
Perdi was also push but some fantastic defending and keeping kept the score at 0-0
Rovers came close with a Higgs shot from out side the box just going over the bar and Louie and Ellis coming close with some good efforts
Rovers finally took their chance when a bouncing ball look like it was going straight into the hands of the Perdi keeper but he hesitated and didn’t know if he was coming or going so Bish stuck in knocking the ball back to Higgs who decided now was the perfect time to do the shuffles from the warm up back to goal beat his defender and got his low driven cross in finding Bish who made no mistake this time and flicking the ball past the keeper
2 minutes to go and instead of seeing the game out Rovers over played and lost the ball then a switch of play saw Ryan 1on1 and made an attempt to get the ball but brought down his player instead penalty despite his best efforts Marcin just missed the ball 1-1
Half time lads was left deflated after defending very well for 45 minutes
Second half and both teams continued to create chances but a suspicious penalty was again given to Perdi but this time Marcin made a fantastic double save to keep it at 1-1
A few changes and Perdi controlling most of the game but Rovers defending kept the game level
Then a lapse of concentration from a corner and free kick saw Perdi go two goal ahead within 10 minutes
Rovers pushed but couldn’t find that end product 🩶🖤
