This years cycle challenge is a solo one without my cycle bestie Lizzie Quarmby however I’m sure we will regroup for next year 😃. This year I will be cycling for 8 hours with the MOWL UK ambassador team in Newark to raise money for the Stroke Association a charity close to our hearts.

If you can drop a fiver into my that would be amazing or even better come and join the team for an amazing day out. You will cycle with some of the leading UK indoor cycling presenters including a guest appearance from me.

The event is 10th October and I’ll pop the details into my bio. It’s a bit of a trek for us up north, however the event won’t disappoint. I’ve attended 2 similar events in Denmark and this will be the first event to be held in the UK. It’ll be great if you could join us.

Welsh Summer Championships

A number of the North Wales Clubs have national and international swimmers training with them. Our swimmers have to travel to Liverpool and Manchester for long course training.

The whole team at Wrexham Swimming Club were watching your efforts. The S&C coaching team were on FaceTime to watch together and were in contact with head coach Stephen Parker to get his reaction.

We are so proud of you.

And as we all reflected we realised the team effort involved to provide the right training environment, training and performance strategies to enable athletes to perform at their full potential.

Team mates supporting each other in the pool and in S&C sessions pulling each other through the hard days and early morning slog during the winter months. The coaching staff that offer help and support and sometimes a raised eyebrow when we know you could do better. The parents who show up and support by getting swimmers to training and competitions, feeding and also giving a hug when needed.

We end our 2026 season in Swansea this week with 5 days of racing at the Welsh Summer Championships.

Many think of football as when they think of Wrexham. We also have an amazing swimming club which has been alive and kicking for 125 years.

Let’s go Wrexham. What a team 🙌🏼
