Wrexham Tennis & Padel Centre Wrexham Tennis & Padel Centre is an Indoor and Outdoor tennis and padel facility open to all ages. No membership.

Wrexham Tennis Centre is a Pay ‘n’ Play tennis facility open to all members of the public – there’s no membership or subscription required! From a modest start in 1990, with 3 indoor and 2 outdoor tennis courts, the Centre has grown to become one of the largest indoor Centre’s in the Great Britain. The building is owned by Wrexham County Borough Council, but run on its behalf by a charity (North Wales Regional Tennis Centre Ltd: Charity Number 1144460). Various tennis activities for beginners through to aspiring professionals run each week, including junior and adult coaching courses, individual lessons and social group sessions.

Welsh Open Pickleball Championships 🏓💚🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

A little look back at an incredible week last month here at Wrexham Tennis & Padel Centre, as we hosted the Welsh Open Pickleball Championships for the very first time!

It was amazing to see the centre filled with players and supporters from all over Wales, and some seriously competitive pickleball. We’re so proud to have been the host venue for such a big event and loved being part of it from start to finish.

We’re also extremely proud of our staff who did a fantastic job managing the event and staff members/coaches who took part in the actual matches, as well as a few club members and our regular pickleball players at the centre! 💪

And of course… our homemade carrot cake made a strong appearance too 🥕🍰 Huge thank you to everyone who showed it so much love!

Kinda Chic to join our Americano Cup! 🎾✨

Different partners. Different Opponents. Short competitive games.

Basically… lots of padel, lots of people and a very good time.

Americanos secure you a guaranteed play time of at least 1hr of padel but making it more fun and social for everyone, for less than the price of our sand alone court!

All levels are always welcome, we host junior Americanos, mixed americanos (18+) and women’s only americanos! You can find one of these events at least once a month at Wrexham Tennis & Padel Centre!

A busy few weeks at Wrexham Tennis & Padel Centre!

It’s time for our latest CEO Update, as Simon takes a look back at what’s been happening around the centre over the past month.

From welcoming athletes to the centre for the Special Olympics UK Tennis Event, to hosting the Welsh Pickleball Open, it’s been fantastic to see our courts being used for some brilliant events and competitions.

We’ve also introduced a number of new pickleball sessions led by our Head of Pickleball, Kim, giving even more people the opportunity to get involved, learn the game and enjoy everything the sport has to offer.

As well as this, we were delighted to host a Grade 3 Tennis Tournament at the centre for the first time in several years — another exciting step forward for competitive tennis here in Wrexham. 🎾

And that’s only some of what’s been happening!

Want to play more pickleball without having to organise the games yourself?

Our new Hosted Club Play sessions are all about making it easy to get on court, meet other players and enjoy plenty of pickleball.

Your host will organise the courts, mix players throughout the session and help make sure everyone gets enjoyable games with a variety of different partners and opponents.

Hosted Club Play is perfect for anyone who already knows the basic rules and scoring and is looking for a fun, social way to play more regularly, build confidence on court and meet other members of the pickleball community.

We’re currently looking for someone aged 18–25 to join us as an Associate Trustee and bring a fresh perspective to the way our organisation develops and moves forward.

This is a great opportunity for someone who cares about sport, charity governance, leadership and strategic decision-making, and wants to gain real experience of how an organisation is run behind the scenes.

As an Associate Trustee, you’ll have the chance to contribute ideas, take part in important discussions and gain a better understanding of the decisions that help shape the future of the centre.

We’re looking for someone who is enthusiastic, thoughtful and keen to make a positive contribution. Whether you already have experience in these areas or simply want the opportunity to learn more and get involved.

New to pickleball? This is the perfect place to start!

Our Learn to Play sessions are designed for anyone looking to pick up a paddle and discover what pickleball is all about, with no previous experience needed!

Led by our Head of Pickleball Kim, the sessions will take you through the basics of the sport, rules, how scoring works and the will allow you to come away being able to play with friends and family.

It’s all about building your confidence, learning the game in a friendly and welcoming environment, and giving you the skills and knowledge you need to get involved in a social game. You’ll also have the chance to meet other people who are completely new to pickleball and learning alongside you.

So, if you’ve been thinking about giving pickleball a go but haven’t known where to start, Learn to Play is for you!

We’ll see you on court! 🏓
