Both sides are in action today and both are at home as we embark on the 2026/2027 league campaign!

The First Team host Rhydymwyn FC at The Crick, whilst our Development Team welcome Hawarden Rangers to The Big Park.

Both games kick off at 2pm.

A hard fought battle on Wednesday night saw us bag 5 goals in a thrilling encounter against LEX XI FC

MOTM was Joe Colley, who bagged himself two goals both at the end of each half.

There were also another 2 goals and 2 assists for Rob Reynolds, and a first goal of the season for Iwan Bennett.

The other assists came from Jack Massey and Tom Williams.

😅 We progress into the next round of the NEWFA Challenge Trophy following an action packed game at Stansty Park.

Two goals from the on form Rob Reynolds and Joe Colley's first of the season put the visitors 3-2 up at the break, but the 10 men of Lex pulled one back with 54 minutes on the clock.

They held on until the dying minutes before stoppage time goals from Joe Colley and Iwan Bennett sealed our place in the draw for the next round.

Our Development Squad put on a show at The Crick last night, putting 7 goals past reserves.

Billie Ellis and Matty Thomas put United 2-0 up in a fairly even first half, before goals from Matty Bithell, Josh Partington, Adam Gregory and a brace from Will Evans ensured the visitors romped home in style.

The game also saw 2 missed penalties, one from either side, in a game with plenty of action!

It wasn't the result we wanted on Saturday, but it was a battling performance that shows promise for the season ahead.

Rob Reynolds, who scored both our goals, was awarded the MOTM after a tireless performance, just one of several of our players that ran themselves into the ground in tough conditions.

Rob's first was set up by a cracking ball over the top from Iwan Bennett, whilst Cam Lewis squared the ball for Rob to grab his second following a free kick into the box.

Coedpoeth United would like to welcome goalkeeper Dion Kelly to the club following the completion of his transfer from Gresford Athletic.

Dion joins us following a couple of years in the senior set up at Gresford, having previously played for their youth team. Dion also had spells at the academies of Cefn Druids and Connah's Quay Nomads.
