York & District Riding Club

York & District Riding Club York and District riding club was founded in 1968. We are affiliated to the British Horse Society, and we are in Area 4. Lessons are for members only.

We have a club field on Corban Lane, near Wigginton (5 minutes from York ring road). There is a 20 x 40 m rubber surfaced arena and also a rotavated summer surface. There is plenty of parking (including some hard standing) and a club house with facilities. Lessons are run at the club on weekends throughout the year. Evening lessons are run there in the summer months. In the winter we hire indoor arenas for jumping lessons on weekends. We run members and open competitons throughout the year. We are running an open dressage series on Saturdays in April to September. We also run open show jumping competitions during the summer.

We've introduced a new online application system for para classification, making the process more convenient and secure for athletes.

If you're interested in starting your para competition journey, simply email us to register your interest and we'll create your account so you can complete your application online.
