Evening all, still 3 events for us in 2026, but already we are looking forward to 2027.

YDP has been running for 15 years now and this is only made possible by the hundreds of players who have entered competitions and also by our very kind sponsors.

We have availability for 2 main board sponsors and 2 board sponsors for our Youth and Ladies boards.

Board sponsors get their logo on every one of our Facebook posts and event reviews, as well as a board of their design attached to a main dartboard at each event, which will be a minimum of 11 next year.

With that in mind, if you have a business and want to get advertised, then please contact us. We have rates for 1 and 2 year sponsorship, and can also guarantee your sign will be used on the remaining 3 events for this year, free of charge, if we receive your design before the end of August.

We also have 2 additional board sponsor opportunities for our Youth and Ladies boards, which are guaranteed to be displayed at a minimum of 6 events in 2027.

Sam Spivey was crowned YDP Open Round Robin champion sponsored by York Dart Shop UK - Last Dart Standing with an impressive 4–1 victory over Adi Morris in the best-of-seven final. Spivey averaged 79.31 in the decider, capping off a superb tournament that included a sensational 102.48 average in his 3–0 semi-final win over Matthew Pemberton.
Sam also had a 107.36 avg in his group stage game against Kurtis Radford.

Morris reached the final with solid performances throughout, defeating Vinny Gothard 3–0 in the quarter-finals before overcoming Sammy Surgenor 3–1 in the semi-finals, averaging just over 73 in both matches.

The quarter-finals saw Surgenor beat Stanley Smithson 3–1, Spivey defeat Andy Harland 3–1 despite Harland’s strong 85.98 average, and Pemberton progress with a 3–1 win over Kurtis Radford.

Highest checkout on the day was Sammy Surgenor with a 170.

Spivey proved to be the standout performer of the event, producing the tournament’s highest average and finishing in style to deservedly take the title.

Jody Hancock claimed the YDP ladies round robin title sponsored by York Dart Shop UK - Last Dart Standing with a 3–2 victory over Katie-lee Parish in a closely contested final. Hancock produced the highest tournament average of 57.72, edging Parish, who averaged 51.10 in the final after an impressive run.

Parish reached the final with a dominant 3–0 semi-final win over Paula Woodjetts, while Hancock had to battle past Linda Porter in a thrilling 3–2 semi-final, with both players averaging over 61.

In the quarter-finals, Parish defeated Rebecca Byrne 3–0, Hancock overcame Ebony Rider 3–1, Porter edged Layla Lund 3–2, and Woodjetts beat Toni Smallwood 3–1.

Highest checkout for the day was won by Toni Smallwood with 100.

Overall, Hancock combined consistency and scoring power throughout the event to lift the trophy after the standout match of the tournament in the final.

Last minute drop out means we have a place available in the Open Round Robin, register below.

We currently have 3 spaces for the Ladies Round Robin on Saturday, but are waiting for confirmation from a couple of players that they are definitely entering.

A reminder that in order to earn WADC ranking points, the competition must have 16 entries, so please share this post and tag players in to see if we can get the full 16.

This saturday, the 1st August, sees us run two competitions simultaneously, one of them being an Open Round Robin. This event is limited to 48 players.

We currently have 33 registered players, of which 11 have paid their entry fee or confirmed their attendance. We will take cash payments on the day, but can we please ask if you have registered to at least let us know you are attending.

If you have registered and can no longer attend, please let us know asap so we can remove you and allow your place to be taken by other players.

Doors open 10.30 and blue bar at 11.00am. Registration closes 12.30 for a 1.00pm start. If you are running late, you must let us know by 12.30pm that you are still coming, otherwise we cannot enter you into the draw.

Also, our main sponsor York Dart Shop UK - Last Dart Standing will have their pop-up shop and be in attendance during the day.
