Only 5 days after The Arsenal won the League at White Hart Lane in 1971 another iconic moment shaped the future of our beloved club.
The FA Cup Final with the winning goals from the sub - Eddie Kelly (although some reckon it was Graham's last touch) and then Charlie George - would mark the first of the traditional "Double" won by The Gunners.
Although I wasn't even born when it happened, I love to read about this huge success and how
the yellow shirt from that era became legendary symbol of one of the greatest achievements in Arsenal's history.
For those who wonder how it all started and why yellow and blue are considered to be club's traditional away colours, I have to take you back to 1950 where Arsenal were to play another FA Final and their kit clashed with Liverpool's one. Arsenal lost a coin toss and had to change kits so they wore an old-style long sleeved yellow shirt and won the game 2-0, turning the colour into a lucky charm.
History repeated itself 21 years later, facing Liverpool again and unable to wear red and white, after a toss of the coin, The Gunners came out on the pitch wearing short sleeve yellow and blue kit.

in the merry month of May.
And when I asked her
why she wore that ribbon,
she said it's for The Arsenal and
we're going to Wembley!
