📸 A massive thank you to Chris!

A bit of a different post from us, but we wanted to give a big thank you to Chris for coming along to Teesside and spending the day taking photos of Thomas and Oliver.

Chris is Jen’s cousin and very kindly gave up his time to come and capture the boys doing what they love — and as you can see from these photos, he’s bloody good at it!

We’re normally so busy during a race day with bikes, tyres, fuel, getting the boys ready and everything else that goes with racing that you don’t always get the chance to properly capture these moments. Having photos like these to look back on is brilliant.

There are some absolute crackers of both lads, and the paddock pics are brilliant something we don’t normally get

🏁 Medd Racing – Nora British Supermoto Championship, Teesside 🏁

Saturday 19th September we headed to Teesside Autodrome for a one-day event with the Nora British Supermoto Championship.

We like doing these meetings for a couple of reasons. For Thomas, it’s valuable extra track time and a chance to work on something we’ve struggled with all year — getting up to speed quickly. He normally takes the best part of two days to really get going, whereas at Nora it’s one practice/qualifying session and then straight into racing.

For Oliver, the Nora Mini Bike class is perfect. There’s a massive mixture of abilities, which means he nearly always has someone to chase or battle with — and he absolutely loves it.

Unfortunately, the first session showed we’ve still got some work to do. 😂

Thomas went out for practice/qualifying and looked like he hadn’t ridden a bike all year. He was miles off the pace, pretty much what we’re used to seeing from him on a normal Friday practice, and qualified P6.

Thankfully, he improved every time he went out.

He finished the three races P5, P6 and P6, taking 2nd in class, and by the end of the day he’d got the gap down to around a couple of seconds from the pace.

Still not where we want him to be by a long shot, but a big improvement from where he started the morning.

We also spent quite a bit of the day working on the GP2. Teesside is pretty bumpy and the bike looked really harsh both front and rear. We made a few suspension changes throughout the day and got it a little better, although there’s definitely more work to do there.

P5, P6, P6 and 2nd in class. 🥈

Not a bad day’s work.

Oliver’s day was much simpler to sum up:

He absolutely loved it. 😂❤️

He’s really enjoyed his last few race meetings and it’s been great to see him coming off the bike smiling again.

Ol started P14 and finished P14, P15 and P16. He had people around him to chase and race with all day and just got on with enjoying himself.

Then to finish it off, he had a 2nd-in-class trophy to collect. 🥈

No dramas, no pressure — just a happy Oliver riding his bike.

Smiles all round, and hopefully plenty more of that to come. ❤️

🏆 A good Saturday at Teesside

So we came away with two 2nd places in class, plenty more laps under the boys’ belts and a little more knowledge about the GP2.

Thomas has still got work to do, Oliver had an absolute blast, and both boys got a trophy for the journey home. 🥈🥈

We’ll take that. ❤️🏁

This boy loves the wet. First qualifying there was only him and Bradley Curtis at the top, the rest a second a lap off them. . Each lap p1 changed between them , one more lap and we would have had p1 !!
