*Volunteers’ Week 2026 – Marianne Le Ray*

As part of Volunteers’ Week 2026, Guernsey Cricket is delighted to recognise the contribution of Marianne Le Ray, whose dedication and support have played an important role in helping cricket thrive across the island.

Like so many volunteers, Marianne gives her time freely to support the game and the people involved in it. Whether assisting behind the scenes, helping at events, supporting players and teams, or contributing to the wider cricket community, volunteers such as Marianne are fundamental to the success of Guernsey Cricket.

In a special Volunteers’ Week video interview, Marianne shares her experiences of volunteering, what inspired her to get involved, and the rewards she has gained from being part of the cricket family.

Reflecting on her involvement, Marianne highlights the friendships, sense of community and satisfaction that come from helping others enjoy and participate in the sport.

Volunteers remain at the heart of everything we do. From coaches, scorers and umpires to team managers, administrators and event helpers, Guernsey Cricket simply could not operate without their commitment and enthusiasm.

Thank you, Marianne, for everything you do for Guernsey Cricket and for helping make our sport stronger both on and off the field.

As part of Volunteers' Week 2026, Guernsey Cricket is proud to recognise and celebrate the contribution of Jamie Nussbaumer, whose commitment and enthusiasm have helped support cricket in the island.

Volunteers are at the heart of everything we do. Whether helping at events, supporting players, assisting with competitions, or contributing behind the scenes, their dedication enables cricket to thrive across all age groups and levels of the game.

To mark Volunteers' Week, Jamie recently took part in a video interview where he reflected on his volunteering journey with Guernsey Cricket.

In the interview, Jamie discusses how he first became involved, what has motivated him to continue volunteering, and the enjoyment and personal benefits he has gained through supporting the sport.

Jamie also shares some of the experiences and memories that have made volunteering so rewarding, highlighting the friendships, sense of community and opportunities to make a positive difference that volunteering can provide.

His story serves as a reminder that volunteers are not only vital to the success of organisations such as Guernsey Cricket, but also gain valuable experiences themselves through giving their time and expertise.

Guernsey Cricket is fortunate to be supported by a dedicated team of volunteers who contribute in many different ways throughout the year. Their efforts help create opportunities for hundreds of players, officials, coaches and supporters to enjoy the game.
