The Athenian Experience

is on the first floor of a 2 storey house semidetached. It is aprox 96sqm with marble and wooden floors. it has balconies all around and there are 2 roof terraces (work in progress to make them yummy). There is a yard with 2 pine trees and a lemon tree. Clean quite and safe. it had a cooker/ oven, washing machine, Large fridge freezer that makes ice cubes!! you will need them!!, small fridge freezer in the double bedroom, second single bedroom, 1 bath/toilet and one more small toilet, Desktop PC WiFi, Very large lounge newly painted and decorated, HiFi. ceiling fun and coloured light if you wish to chill or have a small party with friends. A family of 4 is comfortably accommodated but if you wish to squeeze 6 it can take it just be prepared to sleep on the floor or couch that is up to you! The apartment is all yours. You come in from the main gate trough the yard and up the stairs to the first floor. You will have a full set of keys and you can come in and out any time you wish. You can be completely independent. My sister Georgia will show you around and give you some info at the start. Thought is you want she can offer you cleaning and laundry and sometimes cook for you all for a small fee. She can take you around places for shopping or drive you to a place again for a small fee and if you wish she can take you out to a lovely bar by the sea to show you the night life. Do not hesitate to ask her something and do not be put off by any fees some time she might help you just for the fun and will not ask anything

This Summer/ Autumn / Winter try something different and decide for yourself, live away from the tourist trail, use your money wisely and by doing so you help local people and businesses. There are fantastic markets held in local streets where you can buy fruit, vegetables, fish, cheese,wine, honey –all from local suppliers. There are wonderful bakeries on every street selling fresh bread, pastries, biscuits and cakes. Within walking distance there are many bars, cafes and restaurants to choose from. Walk to the sea, have a coffee or a cocktail, relax, go swimming (the local beaches are clean) or go up and walk in the mountains above the city. Think for yourself in a positive way – you don’t need a tourist office to tell you where to go and what to do. Of course visit the city centre (easy to get to by tram or bus) and all its classic sites but also explore the side streets, quirky bars, cafés and independent shops. There are buses trams and loads of taxis. You are near the Port of Pireas so you can go even for a day trip to a close by island. My Sister Georgia can offer to drive you to places for a small fee (much cheaper than taxis )

I am trying to set up the Athenian Experience from my flat in Athens. I am looking for people that want to go there and test drive the flat and the house. I am in the process to set up a small apartment and my flat as well as two roof terraces and a gym. All fully air con and fast WiFi. This is a work in progress and your presence and feedback will be appreciated and prices are low for that reason. This project will run until the end of the year 2013

Also if people want to go there and do some work can be cheaper or even free. There are many things that someone can do to help, from the basic cleaning, decorating and gardening and designing the interior or exterior of the house to even setting up an interactive full on website with images and content I will provide or plastering the exterior walls.
