Today we started our journey back home. After a fast final ride to Thessaloniki yesterday, we took the Bus and are now in Igumenitsa. It feels a bit weird to switch the saddles for bus seats. If the weather plays along we might get some flights, while waiting for our ferry to Venice on Friday.

Today we managed to fly from the Olymp. While trying to use the small window with less predicted wind, we went all over the Olympus massive, checking on different takeoff options. We got up early and summited the main Summit Mytikas first and later the day startet with our wings from Skurta and flew all the way back to Litochoro.

What a day! As the forecast only predicts a short period of flyable conditions on Mount Olympus the upcoming days, we decided to go there as fast as possible to maximize our chances of flying from the mountain of the Gods. So today we managed to cover a distance of 177 km and 1500 vertical meters and are now ready to climb Olympus tomorrow with the hopes for a flight on Saturday.

We finally got back in the air!! Yesterday we went up early to the highest peak above Lake Ohrid and enjoyed our flight in the calm morning air with a landing right at the beach. We were so stoked that we hitchhiked to the official takeoff for our second flight that day. Thank you Lake Ohrid, you served us well!!

Lost in the mountains
With high hopes for airtime and heavy packs we headed into the mountains yesterday. Our objective in sight, we reached the summit of Mount Korab. Winds were too strong to take off, so we set our camp up high. The great sunrise compensated for the even nastier conditions in the morning. Glorious flight to breakfast from the highest mountain of Albania postponed.

Today was a full-on cycling day. We covered some distance, crossed the same boarder twice and met some locals who had some test rides on pur bikes

Valbona valley welcomed us with great views but also crazy weather. That’s why we decided to take our chance at an early morning flight with little wind.
We had to get up at 3:30 am but got rewarded with a magnificent sunrise and a nice flight back down to our tent.

After a few busy we finally wanted to introduce ourselves:
Nico: nocomfort senior, first in filming last in packing. Instagram manager for the trip
He always makes sure the boys stay hydrated.
Philipp: The new guy in the nocomfort films crew. Luckily his flying skills are better then his camera skills (yet). He always makes sure we have the proper calorie intake.
Luggi: nocomfort senior and master of the B camera. Also in charge of keeping us on the right roads. He always makes sure we get our daily dose of vitamins.

The last two days we finally got to unpack our .family_ gliders.
Not only did we get to fly in scenic mountains, but also had the pleasure to meet local heros Boris and Anna. They took us along on a nice hike and fly mission and gave us a proper introduction into the local (vegetarian) dishes. If you ever are in the area and are looking for some adventure, hit up Boris,
