💥Finishing 2024 with a Boom!

🇯🇵🤝🇩🇪 This December, hosted a selected student group of the German School Tokyo-Yokohama , our partner school since 2019.

🥳 The German Embassy in Tokyo made early Christmas wishes come through and funded this one of a kind visit as part of this year’s 30th Berlin-Tokyo city partnership anniversary. Thank you for your generosity!

🏀🏛️🗣️ Upon arrival in Germany’s capital, the group participated in an exclusive camp programme, put together of just the right mix of basketball experiences, German culture and history specific activities, as well as exchange opportunities with ALBA BERLIN youth players, the professional teams, the wheelchair basketball department and much more.

🏀 We can’t wait for some exciting U16 & U19 Boys and Girls 3x3 action at the from 13-15 November in collaboration with our partners GESS, , & .basketball and ImpactSG.

🏆 Players from local and international schools will battle it out on the court and compete for the crown of the first edition of the GESS - ALBA BERLIN 3x3 Cup. Get ready for quality hoops, fun recycling and sustainability activations by ALBA Group Asia and the chance to win exclusive prizes from ALBA BERLIN.

🏀ALBA BERLIN x SportSG - Interview with Coach Leo Aris in Singapore

🇸🇬 In April, and entered into a long-term oriented partnership, with the mutual goal to strengthen the basketball development structures in Singapore through sharing knowledge and expertise of their existing basketball programmes (.basketball ).

🎙️2 months into the pilot project, we sat down with ALBA BERLIN project coordinator and A-License coach to ask him about his start in Singapore.

🏀 Since 2019, ALBA BERLIN has partnered with renowned institutions in Singapore with the overall goal to make ALBA basketball activities accessible to the community and to learn from the rich local expertise of our partners.

🎓 Recently, we were able to update our existing partnership with the prestigious German European School Singapore , including newly added basketball activities for the school community and exclusive insights into the recycling and sustainability industry provided by our friends at ALBA Group Asia .

⛹🏻‍♀️ Talented GESS students, like now GESS alumni and already GESS basketball legend Lily, will be given the opportunity to join training with our top ALBA BERLIN youth players in Berlin during the summer breaks.

🇸🇬 We are immensely proud to be partnering with and its ActiveSG Basketball Academy .basketball for a one of a kind pilot project. Since August 2024, our youth coach Leo steers ALBA’s basketball initiatives on the ground in Singapore, in collaboration with the wonderful team at SportSG.

Basketball builds Bridges in full Effect!

👋🏻🇨🇳 This August, welcomed a student group of Jinhua Foreign Language School, our long-term partner school from China. The JFLS is also a member of our joint-project “Basketball builds Bridges” in collaboration with the Mercator Foundation / and active participant of the PASCH network* of the German Foreign Ministry .

Our Chinese guests were able to enjoy a variety of fun activities that Berlin has to offer:

🏀 Fun basketball practices with our renowned youth coaches and players? ✅

🗺️ Exclusive sightseeing tour with our partner Visit Berlin while learning about the city’s rich history? ✅

🇩🇪 A behind the scenes look at the German Bundestag and friendly basketball game with Government officials in their home gym? ✅

🎓 A comprehensive German as a foreign language course with our friends at Lernwerk hosted at A&O Berlin Mitte ? ✅

🌏 The activity list continues and ALBA BERLIN hopes to have made this trip an unforgettable one for our friends from China. We are looking forward to welcoming more student groups from Asia in the future!

🤔 There can only be one Marcus Eriksson, right? Our Easter Camp participant Marcus thought otherwise and came up on top of our week-long shooting competition.

🏆🎽 He deservingly earned Marcus’ signed ALBA BERLIN jersey, a real Berlin legend.

🏀🎯 Young Marcus can now put on the OG jersey of his namesake when “shooting the lights out” in the gym.
