This past weekend, our Managing Director, Thomas Vogel, joined the Asia Basketball Summit in Macau as a panelist during the EASL Championship Weekend at the impressive .

Mr. Vogel shared insights into basketball team’s Asia strategy and what makes our club a distinct and dynamic player in the global basketball landscape. Beyond being Germany’s largest and most successful basketball club, ALBA BERLIN engages thousands of children and young people across Germany — and increasingly, beyond its borders — every single week. Through both our professional and community programs, we continue to champion basketball as a universal language and a vehicle for connection and growth.

It was a pleasure to exchange ideas with fellow industry leaders and enthusiasts from across Asia, all united by a shared passion for the orange ball that brings people together worldwide.

Many thanks to EASL for the kind invitation and congratulations on hosting an exceptionally well-run event. We’re already looking forward to next year’s edition.

🏀🔥 From the gyms of Singapore to discussions with the local basketball community, this short exchange further strengthened ‘s basketball footprint in Asia, unique in Germany and inspiring worldwide. No other German club is taking basketball this far across the world - we’re proud to lead the way. 🌍

📢 NEW PARTNERSHIP ANNOUNCEMENT 🥳

🤝🏻 The ALBA Berlin Basketball Academy Asia and the administration of the Taicang High-tech Industrial Development Zone have agreed on a three-year strategic partnership starting with the 2025/26 season.

🏀 The focus is on intercultural basketball tournaments in Taicang as well as other exchange programs tailored for local schools and companies.

🇨🇳 As part of this partnership, the Taicang High-tech Industrial Development Zone supports ALBA Berlin Basketball Academy Asia as the official “China Partner,” underscoring a strong commitment to deepening Sino-German relations through sport.

🏙️ The Taicang High-tech Zone is located near Shanghai and was established in 1993. With approximately one million inhabitants and around 560 residing German speaking companies, Taicang is unique in China. Driven by the economic ambitions of both nations, East and West meet daily in the Taicang High-tech Industrial Development Zone.
