At an altitude of 4,700 meters, you feel completely cut off from the rest of the world. I saw only one or two vehicles all dayâand I am traversing some of the most challenging roads of my life, routes that even off-road vehicles struggle to navigate. Who would have guessed Iâd be driving a 1995 Fiat Barchetta at just 10 to 20 km/h to reach the summit of the Pamir Highway? We still have 450 kilometers ahead of us; letâs see how many days it takes to reach the destination.
