What a term we’ve had in DUSC💃! from Twomey🪦 to Togas🏛️, Fourth of July🇺🇸 and Fireflies⛵️, we have been all around the country over the past few months and been having fun while doing it🧑‍🍳🧑‍🍳! It is still not too late to join our wonderful club, with two more IUSA events, Colours, Women at the helm 💃 and a few alumni events booked into the calendar📆, there is still plenty of opportunity to get out on the water with us!

🔥WOMEN AT THE HELM 2026 🔥
Join Trinity Sailing for our second annual women at the helm competition💃! The event is open to college students, past and present in a 3V3 team racing format with each team having 3 Women at the wheel👀👨‍🍳 followed of course by a drinks reception in the George and a night out😍🐬! Following on from the event’s great success last year, this women in sport initiative is definitely not one to miss! Entry link is in bio, entries filled quickly last year and we sadly had to turn teams away due to high demand😭, please don’t make us have to do that again😢! Sign up now to avoid disappointment!🙈

TRs and Togas!⛵️⛵️
Iusa 2 brought us back down to the Deep South in Schull ☠️ The wind sadly did not play ball🏀 and meant that we only got 1 day of sailing in over the weekend 😢 This didn’t dampen our spirits too much though as the roosters brought Schull home! Our Trinity 1s placed 2nd in gold fleet with our 2s,3s and 4s in 4th,7th and 8th respectively and our Trinity roosters 🐓 won silver fleet!🏆🏆 Big thanks to for hosting the event and of course to for having us, Schull it was a pleasure as always🐦‍🔥🐦‍🔥!

🚨RATHMULLAN RECAP🚨
Last weekend DUSC descended on rathmullan for the first IUSA event of this year🏆⛵️. With four teams in gold fleet competition was tight but ended with our Trinity 1s winning 🥇 the event after narrowly edging out our 2s in semi finals 😛. Toasties were bought, races hard fought and iusa flu was caught🤧🤒. Big thanks to and for having us for another wonderful weekend up north 🏌️🏌️🐦‍🔥.

Join DUSC in welcoming two Paris 2024 Olympians for an in depth talk on their Olympic experience and journey🏆🏆 !
Finn Lynch is both a 2016 and 2024 summer games Olympian in the ILCA 7 class with Eve McMahon being a first time 2024 Olympian in the ILCA 6 class as well as being part of Ireland’s torch relay for the opening ceremony of the Paris games 🗽!
The talk will be held on Trinity campus in the SL lecture hall in the arts block between 19:00 and 20:00 on the 21st of October. This is definitely an event that you don’t want to miss!🐦‍🔥🐦‍🔥

🚨🚨BKL RECAP🚨🚨 (Gaeilge ag an deireadh)
Our season has started with a bang with 2 ✌of our teams competing in two J70 British Keelboat League events in Cowes over the past 3 weeks⛵🏆. The team of Russell Bolger (H), Will Sunderland, Christian Ennis, Donal Walsh and Max Cantwell finished with a solid 7th out of 16 teams at the 4th Annual David Haw Memorial Trophy ran by the University of Bristol Sailing Club, the Royal Thames and Royal Southern Yacht clubs.
D.U.S.C’s other team comprising of Trevor Bolger(H), Russell Bolger, Ella Dempsey, Georgia Goodbody and Keelboat Captain Conor Lynch 🐐 were also competing in the Solent at the prestigious British Keelboat League Finals with the college having qualified after winning the student yacht racing nationals last year. 3 days of tricky, tidal racing in a wide range of wind from 5-25 knots 💨challenged the fleet but D.U.S.C kept their cool 🧊and finished out in 5th having snagged an impressive 5 bullets over the course of the event🐦‍🔥. This is only the beginning! Conor is cooking and by god it smells good 🧑‍🍳🧑‍🍳.
