Malahide Basketball club are seeking a Head coach for the Mens National League team within the club.
The Head coach will be responsible for planning and conducting training sessions,developing game strategies and implementing those strategies in games for the Division 1 National league, cup championship and Top 4 playoffs. The successful candidate will also be responsible in overseeing the overall performance and development of all players, especially the younger players within the club who are new to or transitioning to National league.
Additional responsibilities include scouting and recruiting players and ensuring effective communication with players, committee members
Qualifications
- Certified basketball coach level 2 minimum
- Experience in coaching at top league level. Minimum division 1 league
- Very strong communication and training skills that can be adapted for different levels and experience of players
- Proven leadership and team management abilities
- Ability to work with the National League committee in terms of giving comprehensive updates on team development, progression and performance
