More IMRA activity took place over the weekend with Lusk AC in action at the Lap of the Gap marathon and Glen to Glen half marathon yesterday. Weather conditions were perfect to take in some of the finest views in Wicklow. Great routes with plenty of uphill sections to test the legs.
Both races started in Glendalough and headed up the Military Road past Glenmacanass waterfall where the half marathon turned around, retracing its steps, for a fast downhill finish.
The full continued on to Sally Gap, then across past Lough Tay before looping through Oldbridge and back to finish in Laragh.
Peter Doyle ran the marathon in 4:18 and Siobhan Doyle did the half in 2:31, results can be found at: https://lapofthegap.com/
