REMINDER- PARENTS AND COACHES
The Shamrock Cup will be implementing IBJJF NoGi uniform rules in full.
Why is this important?
Standardising visible grades across events is important. This aids in the prevention of what is known as "sandbagging"- that is the intentional dropping to a lower grade by an individual for the purpose of gaining an advantage.
If a competitor is visibly wearing a rashguard of their grade colour, this mitigates against them being able to move downwards in the future. It also aids spectators in recognising the experience level of each match on the mat.
Please ensure your child has an appropriate rashguard and shorts for the event, as they will NOT be allowed to compete in a rashguard that does not reflect their grade colour.
