๐ท Introducing your MonoShield Equine EI115 Young Rider league winner! ๐ท
Caitlin Woods and Greygrove Delight only made the step up to EI115 this year, and quickly established themselves as consistent performers at the level.
Caitlin introduced us to her Eventing partner: "Greygrove Delight, known as Del Boy at home, came to us as a very green 5yo at the beginning of 2024. We hadnโt planned on doing much with him at the time because he was so green but once we started doing little bits with him and he showed us how easy and enjoyable it all was for him, we never looked back.
I consider myself extremely lucky to have been able to produce Del from his first EI90 all the way through to now, where he is confident as well as competitive at EI115. As Iโve learned, it is not an easy process to produce a horse up to 115 but it is a very rewarding one. Del Boy is a truly honest horse and gives me and Eventing his whole heart.
We have had a really enjoyable first season at EI115 this year! We have had many good days but it is still only the start of our 115 career. The highlights of our year would be our win at Flowerhill 3, our 2nd place at Tattersalls and our placing in the 2*L at Scone where we were best Irish and Young rider. Del has been an amazing young horse for me, giving me so many good days out at internationals, Balmoral, the RDS and placing 2nd in the 5, 6 and 7 year old DAFM leagues each year.
Del is out enjoying his well deserved holiday at the moment, but I am really looking forward to our training this winter and I canโt wait to see how much we can improve before next season!"
Congratulations to Caitlin and Del Boy, and huge thanks to MonoShield Equine for their generous sponsorship of the league ๐
