Another September week of club golf at Narin & Portnoo, with the Wednesday Open leading into a full weekend of competition.

Plenty of good golf across the week and another strong run of club competitions as we move further into September.

The next couple of weeks at The Links. ⛳️

Whether you’re coming off the course, meeting friends for lunch or settling in for dinner and a drink, we’d love to welcome you to the Clubhouse.

Our restaurant opening hours from 16th to 27th September are above, with plenty of opportunity to call in and enjoy something good from the kitchen.

A hole in one on the 15th. ⛳️

Peter Acosta, visiting from Puerto Rico, found the bottom of the cup in one on the 15th, with the Atlantic behind him and the elements adding a little extra drama to the occasion.

Peter was part of a group brought to Narin & Portnoo by PGA Professional Brian Shaver, and it’s fair to say the Links gave them a story to take home.

Congratulations, Peter. A fine place to add a hole in one to the trip.

A great group to welcome to Narin & Portnoo yesterday. ⛳️

We were delighted to have students and staff from St Malachy’s College, Belfast and Monsignor Bonner High School, Philadelphia out on the Links for a round.

It was also a lovely connection to hear that members of the Philadelphia group know Jim Wagner, who was involved in the redesign of the course.

A pleasure having you all with us, and we hope Narin & Portnoo was a memorable stop on the trip.

The 8th tee at Narin & Portnoo. ⛳️

One of the most recognisable viewpoints on the Links, set right on the edge of the Atlantic with the coastline opening out in front of you.

It is the kind of place that makes you stop for a moment before the shot. Raw, exposed and unmistakably Donegal.

A small corner of the course, but one that says so much about Narin & Portnoo.

Last week on the Links. ⛳️

September got underway with another good week of club competition at Narin & Portnoo, from Wednesday’s Open through to the weekend Stablefords.

A strong few days on the course, with plenty of good golf played and another busy week around the club.

Congratulations to all of last week’s winners and thanks to everyone who took part.

Today is International Thank a Greenkeeper Day, recognising the people behind the courses we enjoy and the work that often begins long before the first tee time of the day. ⛳️

Here at Narin & Portnoo, we’re very fortunate to have Head Greenkeeper John Doran alongside Johnny, Brian, Daithi, Killian, Patrick and Gavin caring for the Links throughout the year.

Their work is part of every round played here, from the greens and fairways to the dunes and natural landscape that make Narin & Portnoo so distinctive.

A sincere thank you to the whole team for the care, knowledge and countless hours that go into looking after the Links, and also to Ian and the team at Carr Golf Maintenance for their work alongside the team all year.

A visit from Declan Boyle this evening as the McCafferty’s & Nesbitt Arms Championship heads towards the quarter finals. ⛳️

Declan has kindly sponsored this year’s senior competition, with the event also helping to support the continued development of junior golf here at Narin & Portnoo Links.

There have already been some great matches along the way, with plenty still to come as we move into the closing stages.

A sincere thank you to Declan for his support this year.

We’re Hiring | Part Time Bar & Waiting Staff & Part Time Cleaner

We’re currently looking for two new members to join the team at Narin & Portnoo Links.

We have opportunities available for:

• Part Time Bar & Waiting Staff
• Part Time Cleaner

For the bar and waiting role, we’re looking for someone friendly, reliable and comfortable working across both bar and table service as part of a busy hospitality team. Previous experience would be an advantage, but is not essential.

For the cleaning role, we’re looking for someone dependable with a good eye for detail who can help us maintain the high standards expected throughout the clubhouse.

A hole in one on the 15th. ⛳️

A special moment for James Cass during his visit from America with Haversham & Baker , holing out on one of the most memorable holes on the Links.

With the Atlantic beyond the green and Donegal providing the backdrop, it’s a fine place to add a hole in one to the story of an Irish golf trip.
