Tipperary Golf Club - Jimmy Bruen All Ireland Silver Medalists

Our Jimmy Bruen team finished their historic year as runners up in the All Ireland Final. After great wins in the quarter final and semi final, this was the first men’s team in our 130 year history to compete in an All Ireland Final.

The final in Thurles was extremely tight, with Galway Bay turning the tide at the key time to claim victory on the 17th hole. We congratulate them on the well deserved victory.

The team would like to thank all the supporters who came to Thurles and sent messages of support, it was really appreciated. We would like to thank Thurles GC for hosting us.

Congrats to the team for all the effort and great results all year, bringing home an East Munster Penant and All Ireland runner up medal. They’ve done the club proud. It was a team effort, with all players in in squad playing key roles in the run. Thanks to Manager Pat Ryan G for all the hard work he put in behind the scenes, and to Assistant Manager Adam Long for his support.

Congrats to the first 10 men in our club to compete in an All Ireland final: James O’Brien, Conor Ryan, Jim McGlynn, James Ryan, Pat Flanagan, Fergal Lonergan, Tommy Crowe, Philip Ryan, Shane Moloney and Niall O’Shea.
