Guwahati to Host ODI & Test Match in India’s International Home Season 2026–27

Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has officially announced Team India (Senior Men) International Home Season 2026–27, and the Assam Cricket Association is happy to share that Guwahati has been selected to host two prominent international fixtures.

📌 Fixture Details:

🔹 India vs West Indies – 2nd ODI
🗓️ September 30, 2026

🔹 India vs Australia – 3rd Test | Border-Gavaskar Trophy
🗓️ February 11–15, 2027

The upcoming Test match forms part of the prestigious Border-Gavaskar Trophy, one of the most celebrated rivalries in international cricket, bringing world-class Test cricket back to Guwahati.

Hosting both an ODI and a Test match in a single season marks a significant milestone for Assam and the Northeast, reinforcing Guwahati’s growing stature as a premier destination for international cricket.

Adding to the excitement, Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Mumbai Indians will be playing in Guwahati for the very first time, making this season even more special for cricket fans in Assam

Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced the schedule for Team India (Senior Men) international home season for 2025, today and we're thrilled to share that Guwahati will host its FIRST-EVER TEST MATCH.

A huge thank you to the ICC Chairman Jay Shah and BCCI Honorary Secretary Devajit Saikia for making this historic moment possible.

The IDFC First Bank Test series against South Africa will begin in New Delhi on 14th November, with Guwahati hosting the second Test at the ACA Stadium, Guwahati from November 22nd to 26th.
