The sixth cricket club in Iceland is currently being formed: the Mosfellsbær Ravens. They will be playing matches from the start of our 2027 domestic season. Check out their logo!

Our 2026 Sixty Ball Shootout Champions are the Kópavogur Puffins! In a repeat battle between the 2025 finalists, Kópavogur defended their title in a 25 runs victory. Their score of 115/4 was the highest ever made in the final of our T10 tournament.

We are delighted to extend our partnership with Ibrahim's Shalimar (shalimar.is), who will be continuing as our sponsors of our Sixty Ball Shootout tournament, which starts on Sunday 13th September and runs until the final on 20th September at Hamranesvöllur. Located in the heart of Reykjavík, Ibrahim's Shalimar is renowned for its authentic, high-quality Pakistani cuisine, made with fresh ingredients, homemade spices, and a deep commitment to a memorable dining experience with them. The Shalimar family is also a huge fan of cricket.

This year’s tournament holds special meaning, as it is dedicated to the memory of Ibrahim Shah Uz-Zaman, the son of Shalimar’s owner, who tragically died in a construction-related accident at Ásvöllur on October 30th 2023, at the age of 8 years young.

Ibrahim was a bright, joyful soul who touched every heart he encountered. He taught those around him the true meaning of love, togetherness and positivity — a remarkable legacy for someone so young. His family mourns his loss every day, but they are determined that the world will come to know their son, brother, and friend through their ongoing work in his name.

In his honour, they have established the Ibrahim Shah Memorial Fund, which supports child traffic safety initiatives and community projects aimed at spreading Ibrahim’s message and preserving his cherished memory. Through the Fund, his spirit lives on in efforts that make the world safer and more compassionate.

We enjoyed a fun and competitive five match series with Surrey Vagrants Cricket Club, who played our five clubs. In the end, the series finished 3-2 to our club sides, with the final deciding T20 match ending in a one wicket win for Kópavogur Puffins. Great weather too.

This weekend we are pleased to have the Surrey Vagrants Cricket Club playing each of our five clubs in turn. It is the Cod and Catch Cup. Five T20s at Tungubakkavöllur. All live streamed on our YT channel from 9am tomorrow.

We are pleased to announce that the sixth cricket club in Iceland will soon be formed. Mosfellsbaer Cricket Club will be known as the Ravens. They will play in all our domestic tournaments in 2027.

Vesturbær Volcano Cricket Club triumphed yesterday by a narrow two wickets margin over Kópavogur Puffins in the second semi-final of this year's Valhalla Cup at Hamranesvöllur. Seemingly out of contention at 98-6, chasing 211, Zeeshan Aziz Khan struck a thrilling knock of 80* off 53 balls to turn the match on its head. Vesturbær go through to this year's final to play Reykjavík Vikings.
