🩷💙 IT'S GLOW & GO DAY! ✨🎃

Tonight we light up the Waterfront! Music, lights, the Boom Bike and 150 runners ready for something a little different!

Tonight's running order:

🕠 5:30pm | Event village opens at Trenton Square

🎧 6:00pm | Race pack collection at Jersey Sports & Spinal Clinic, with Nigel Mann DJing for Macmillan

🎶 6:30pm | Tony Safe on the decks

📢 7:00pm | Race briefing

🏃 7:15pm | GLOW & GO START!

☕ Afterwards | FREE hot chocolates courtesy of Café JACS at Big Maggy's

🩷🩵 GLOW & GO: TWO DAYS TO GO! 🩵🩷
It's nearly time to LIGHT UP THE WATERFRONT! ✨
This Saturday, 150 runners will be joining us for Jersey's first Glow & Go. 5km of lights, music, DJs, Halloween fun and a slightly ridiculous Boom Bike! 🪩🏃
Here's everything you need to know:
📍 FRIDAY 30 OCTOBER: RACE PACK COLLECTION

🕛 12:00–14:00 and 16:00–18:00
Can't make Friday? You can collect on Saturday before the race.
🎃 SATURDAY 31 OCTOBER
🕠 17:30 – Event village opens at Trenton Square
🎧 18:00 – Nigel Mann DJing at JSSC, raising funds for Macmillan. Bring a few quid!
🎶 18:30 – Tony Safe gets the party started at Trenton Square

🏃 19:15 – GLOW & GO START!
✨ WHAT TO EXPECT
5km around the Waterfront, two loops, music and lighting along the route, our roaming Boom Bike and plenty of glow!
🎃 Fancy dress is encouraged. Halloween, neon, glow, whatever you fancy!
🔦 A working headtorch or suitable running light is mandatory. Glow sticks don't count!
🪩 THE AFTER PARTY
Once the running is done, we're heading to Bond Street Social for more music with Brodie, Paul B, Sutty and Wottonski!

🐒 **BEAST OF THE EAST 2026 | RESULTS ARE IN! 🏆**

Well, what a day that was!

After a pretty stressful few days watching the weather, checking the course and dealing with fallen trees, it was such a relief to see the sun shining this morning! A bit windy, admittedly, but we'll take that!

A massive **WELL DONE** to everyone who tackled the Beast today. Both the Half Marathon and 10km are tough at the best of times, and today was certainly no exception. You should all be really proud of yourselves! 💪

I also want to say a huge thank you to everyone for their patience and understanding over the last few days. It's been a challenging build-up, and I really appreciate everyone sticking with us.

❤️ **To our amazing volunteers and marshals**, thank you for giving up your Sunday morning, standing out in the wind and looking after our runners. We genuinely couldn't do this without you.

And a big thank you to **JE3**, our sponsors, for supporting the event and helping us make it happen.

Seeing everyone out there today made all the stress of the last few days worthwhile. Thank you all for being part of it.

Next up for our trail half marathons is **El Diablo in March 2027**. More hills, more coastal trails and hopefully a slightly less dramatic build-up! 😅

🚨 BEAST OF THE EAST🚨

We've been out checking the course following the storm and all looks good. It's going to be wet, muddy and challenging, but we're looking forward to seeing everyone tomorrow!

⚠️ HALF MARATHON: NEW START LOCATION

Due to a fallen tree in St Catherine's Woods, we've had to move the Half Marathon start to the ST MARTIN'S ENTRANCE to the woods.

⏰ Start time remains 9:00am

🚗 Some parking may be available at St Martin's Parish Hall
🚶 Please keep drop-offs quick and the road clear
🚻 NO TOILETS at the new start location

🎒 MANDATORY KIT

Given the conditions, we'll be particularly strict with kit checks tomorrow. All runners in BOTH distances must carry the full mandatory kit. This includes a minimum of 1 litre of water, foil blanket, warm layer, charged phone with What3Words, whistle, nutrition and GPX route.

Please bring a waterproof/windproof jacket too.

NO KIT = NO START.

⏰ AND DON'T FORGET... THE CLOCKS GO BACK TONIGHT!

At 2am on Sunday morning, the clocks go back one hour. That's an extra hour in bed before you tackle the Beast! 💤

We've emailed all runners with the full details, including the start location change, parking arrangements and safety information. PLEASE READ IT BEFORE TOMORROW.
