Tokyo Prenatal Center Tokyo’s only prenatal pilates studio and prenatal wellness center. Pelvic & cesarean rehab specialist

Welcome and I'm so glad you're here and you're ready to up-level your embodiment. The antenatal period is full of transformational power to those who know how to tap into it, and I do. I'm here to upgrade women's body awareness during the prenatal and postpartum window. I specialize in labor prep, in person birth support and healing and growth during the postpartum period. I'm an expert in helping babies into the optimal position, teaching mothers how to push in labor and birth, and pelvic and abdominal healing post birth. More deeply, I support women in the monumental transformation into motherhood. I've worked as a Pilates instructor and massage therapist for nearly a decade, and bring my expertise as a doula to unite birth and postpartum care with healthy movement.

Finding friends here can be so difficult. That’s why I’ve started a new community project called KIN:)

Mom friends, made simple.

Every month I’ll be hosting both regular and special events!

Every month you get:

And most months will also include a special event such as:

🎨mom’s painting class
🧸sensory play class
🥁baby music class

Comment FRIENDS to join us.

I worked with 95 families in Tokyo last year and these are some of the trends that I’ve seen. Of course this is not every hospital or clinic, but they are common!

This is one reason I always advise people to do their research before booking their hospital! Proximity to your house is not always the best choice.

Did you experience any of these? Or something different? Share in the comments 👇🏼

Hi, I’m Kathleen, a birth and postpartum doula and mom of 3! But follow Kathleen Rowan | Birth & Postpartum and stick around for more content that is pro-mom and anti-overwhelm.

If you’re on the fence about getting Botox, I hope this information becomes a helpful way to orientate yourself around, making an informed decision.

As a Doula, it’s my job to present evidence based information and for you to make an informed choice for yourself. Obviously this is not about birth, but I think as a voice in mothering this is an important topic to be talking about.

In the end, I don’t care what you choose to do. It’s your body. But I do care about women living in alignment with their values, so I hope that’s what you choose!

And finally, keep the comments respectful. Any hate, bullying or harassment will be deleted and blocked.

You didn’t land here by accident so hit follow Kathleen Rowan | Birth & Postpartum and stick around for more content that is pro-mom and anti-overwhelm.

I’ll be the first one to admit that posture is one of the first things to go postpartum. There are so many other things that are pulling your attention and things that are higher on the priority list. As they should be.

This is normal!

But at some point, the pain, the symptoms, the weakness will start to get to you. And when it does, bodywork and postpartum friendly workouts are where you should go.

I’m running B***y Camp inside my membership this month. Classes to help you get your b***y back (aka, correct your pelvic posture). It will help your back, your pelvic floor and your glutes turn back on.

Three classes
1. Pilates for the glute activation
2. Strength training for the glutes
3. Qigong for the back line 🍑

TBH it’s not even important because of how it looks (though it’s fine if you want a strong looking butt!). The reason I care is that glute strength is often the missing piece in women’s pelvic floor health.

If you want to strengthen your glutes (and your pelvic floor) join us for a 7-day free trial before Sep 7th!
