Low Goal Battle of Montekristo – What a Weekend!

Great vibes and an amazing atmosphere throughout the tournament. Our “new generation” isn’t so new anymore — they’re growing in talent, skill, determination, and true team spirit. We’re very proud to see how much passion and hunger for the sport they bring to the field.

Some fantastic games were played all weekend.
Easy Riders qualified for the final on Thursday, and Not Like That! secured their place in the final on Saturday.

On Sunday, the final delivered great action, with Easy Riders taking the win 14.5 – 6.

What a weekend at the Battle of Montekristo – Medium Goal! 🐎🔥

On Thursday, MNM secured their place in the final after a strong performance.
Friday’s group stages saw Los Machitos battle it out and qualify for the final as well.

Saturday delivered an incredible showdown over 4 chukkas, with Los Machitos taking the win by just 1 goal! An amazing match filled with fast play, great teamwork, and plenty of action on the field.

The atmosphere throughout the tournament was fantastic, with great games and an enthusiastic crowd making it a weekend to remember.

We’re happy to announce our new handicap list for the 2026 season

It’s fantastic to see so many members progressing, especially our new starters from last season already moving up the ranks. Even more exciting is the new generation joining and developing their game.

Malta’s polo scene has an amazing future ahead. Our community is strong, supportive, and passionate — and together we are truly growing the sport on the island.

We’re looking forward to the next tournament and seeing everyone in action!

We’re starting 2026 with plenty of rain here in Malta —but that won’t stop us! Thanks to our roofed practice arena, chukkas and lessons are fully on and running as usual.

Low Goal Tournament Recap

What a fantastic Saturday at Island Polo Club! Two teams battled it out over 8 competitive chukkas, giving us one of the tightest and most exciting matches of the season.

We’re incredibly proud of our next generation of players—the level of play, teamwork, and sportsmanship on display was outstanding. After a series of close chukkas and impressive plays on both sides, the match ended in an unbelievable 20–20 draw.

🏆 Medium Goal Tournament – Weekend Recap

What a fantastic day of polo!
With 5 teams and 10 chukkas of intense group-stage action, the competition was wide open and full of fast plays, great teamwork, and unforgettable moments.

Team Black (Island Polo) dominated the group stages and earned a direct spot in the final. After a series of strong performances from all teams, Team Yellow (GG Polo) secured their place as the second finalist.

The final started with explosive energy—Team Black taking an early 0–4 lead. Team Yellow fought back with determination, closing the gap, but the match ended 3–5 in favour of Team Black, crowning them champions of the day.
