Qormi Hockey Club concluded the EuroHockey Club Challenge I campaign in Predanovci, Slovenia with a third-place finish overall in the competition.
The Maltese side faced eventual champions HAHK Mladost ðŸ‡ðŸ‡· in their final fixture, bringing to a close a historic tournament which marked the highest EuroHockey club division ever reached by a Maltese team.
Congratulations to the players, coaching staff and everyone involved on another important milestone for Maltese hockey, as local clubs continue to compete and develop strongly on the European stage.

A special moment for Maltese hockey, with several Żurrieq Wolves Hotsticks HC players making their first ever EuroHockey appearances during this year’s EuroHockey Club Challenge II in Poland.
Congratulations to the players, coaching staff and everyone involved for the time, preparation and commitment invested throughout the season leading into the tournament.
It is encouraging to continue seeing more Maltese players gaining experience at European level, reflecting the continued growth and improving standard of hockey in Malta.

GREE Żurrieq Wolves Hotsticks Hockey Club concluded their EuroHockey Club Challenge II campaign in third place, confirming Malta’s place in the competition for next season.
Meanwhile, Qormi Hockey Club fought back for another dramatic draw in the EuroHockey Division I tournament to advance to the final against Croatian side HAHK Mladost.

Zurrieq Wolves Hotsticks HC have concluded their EuroHockey Club Challenge II campaign with an impressive third-place finish in Toruń, Poland.
The Maltese side produced a strong tournament throughout the weekend, securing Malta’s place in EuroHockey Club Challenge II for next season following a series of competitive performances against European opposition.
In their final fixture against hosts HK Pomorzanin Toruń 🇵🇱, goals came from Gary Bonnici and Jayden Cutajar, with Bonnici finishing the tournament with five goals overall.
Following the conclusion of this year’s EuroHockey competitions, Malta will now have clubs competing in both EuroHockey Club Challenge I and EuroHockey Club Challenge II again next season - another positive step for the continued growth and development of Maltese hockey on the international stage.

A memorable day for Maltese hockey, with Żurrieq Wolves Hotsticks Hockey Club and Qormi Hockey Club both producing strong performances in their respective EuroHockey competitions in Poland and Slovenia.
Qormi Hockey Club secured a 3–2 comeback victory over HC SHVSM Olimpia Vinnitsa 🇺🇦 to advance to the EuroHockey Club Challenge I final, while Żurrieq Wolves Hotsticks Hockey Club confirmed a third-place finish in the EuroHockey Club Challenge II following a tightly contested tournament.
Another positive moment for the continued growth and international development of Maltese hockey.

Żurrieq Wolves Hotsticks HC have secured their place in the 1st–3rd place matches at the EuroHockey Club Challenge II in Toruń, Poland.
The Maltese side finished second in Pool B and will now compete tomorrow against HK Pomorzanin Toruń 🇵🇱 at 14:15, with promotion to EuroHockey Club Challenge I still within reach.
In their final pool fixture, Hotsticks were narrowly defeated 2-1 by Grammarians HC 🇬🇮. After a scoreless opening quarter, the Gibraltar side found the net in the second and third quarters before Gary Bonnici pulled one back five minutes from time following a through ball from Christ Agius.
The goal proved crucial, with Hotsticks progressing on field goal difference ahead of Soroksári HC ðŸ‡ðŸ‡º.

Qormi HC made history for Maltese hockey with a 3-2 victory over HC SHVSM Olimpia Vinnitsa 🇺🇦 in the club’s first ever EuroHockey Club Challenge I fixture in Predanovci, Slovenia.
Competing at the highest EuroHockey club division ever reached by a Maltese team, Qormi produced an impressive comeback performance after finding themselves 2-0 behind earlier in the match.
Goals came from Julian Speri and Tommy Kok x2 as Qormi secured an important opening victory in the competition.
This result marks another significant milestone in the continued growth and development of Maltese hockey on the European stage.
Qormi return to action tomorrow against HK Triglav Predanovci 🇸🇮 at 15:45.

Żurrieq Wolves Hotsticks HC continued their EuroHockey Club Challenge II campaign with a 1-1 draw against HC Šiauliai 🇱🇹 in Toruń, Poland.
Hotsticks held a 1-0 advantage for much of the encounter before the Lithuanian side found a late equaliser in the final quarter.
Gary Bonnici opened the scoring for Zurrieq Wolves HS during open play in another strong performance from the Maltese club, who now sit second in Pool B with 4 points after two matches.
The team return to action today against Grammarians HC 🇬🇮 at 12:15 in their final pool stage fixture before Sunday’s placement matches.
