Over the past few days, the Maltese National Climbing Team has been hard at work attending an intensive national training camp hosted by CLIMBMT at Crashpad Climbing Centre.

A huge thank you to our CLIMBMT Head Coach, Ian Andrew Dunn, for leading the camp and sharing his expertise, energy, and dedication with our athletes.

Thankyou to Crashpad Malta for hosting us and for setting some excellent routes.

Special thanks to the volunteers that have given their time this weekend especially Louise Giglio for making the camp happen and to Bernard Abela for his support during the camp.

The future is looking bright for Maltese climbing, and we're excited for what lies ahead! GO TEAM MT🧗

Another splendid evening ClimbMT meet, this week at the scenic Wied il-Ghasel in Mosta. We’re such a lovely bunch that the resident goat came down to say hello.

A big shout out to the volunteers who helped with carrying equipment, setting up ropes and belayer beginners under the watchful eye of - we couldn’t have done it without you!

A fantastic start to the 2026 ClimbMT Bouldering League! 🧗💥

Yesterday’s competition at QSI was a great success, with 34 competitors taking part — 25 male and 9 female — and plenty of strong performances throughout the day.

🐣 Easter may feel like ages ago, but the Blue Rock-thrush nesting season is still underway.

⚠️ Importantly, if you notice a nest, don't hang around it. You may be perceived as a threat by the feeding parents. The Blue Rock-thrush is a protected species, and the manipulation of birds or nests by unlicenced persons, apart from being illegal, can have a negative impact.
