Some good news from Accra, Ghana.

It is Gold medal for Ryan Williams in men Discus throw!

Ryan Williams of Namibia achieved a big career breakthrough by winning the continental gold medal in the discus throw at the African senior athletics championship in Accra, Ghana.

Williams (26) previously won bronze medals at two African championships (2024 in Douala, Cameroon, and 2022 in Mauritius).

The determined Namibian achieved a winning distance of 57.49 metres to beat the second-placed challenger of Cameroon by 30 centimetres.

This totals 2 medals for Team Namibia at the African Championship with a bronze scooped by Talya Voster in the women Pole Vault.

Historic moment for Team Namibia

Talya Vorster become the first ever Namibian pole vaulter to Compete in an African Championships today and to top it all she finished 3rd and got Bronze ( sharing with Egypt) what a proud moment for Namibia.
