A long way from its home at Duxford, England, it was fantastic to see this rare Spitfire variant at Warbirds Over Wanaka earlier this year!

Martin Overall flying the Supermarine Mk XI Spitfire operated by ARCO at Warbirds Over Wanaka 2026, camera plane was a Harvard flown by Bevan Dewes.
Thanks to everyone who made that flight possible, the list is long!

How cool is this photo? 😎

With some luck another 2x Yak fighters will join these 3 in the not too distant future.

What a day yesterday, air to air photos with Yak-3 Full Noise, Yak-7 Liberté and Yak-3U Steadfast.
Stay tuned as there is so much more to come 😎

An old familiar sight from Ardmore Airport is getting some long over due TLC by the Aerospace Bristol team. Bristol Freighter NZ5911 used to reside at Ardmore for a number of years before it was acquired and shipped to the UK for preservation.

Here's to the beginning of an extraordinary new chapter for Aerospace Bristol! ✈️

Today we officially launch the story of the Bristol Freighter T170 – our biggest-ever conservation project to conserve the only surviving Bristol Freighter in Europe.

Over the coming months, visitors will be able to watch this remarkable aircraft being carefully conserved by our dedicated team of volunteers, experts and former aerospace engineers, contributing thousands of hours to help preserve an important piece of Bristol’s aviation story.

Designed and built in Bristol, the Bristol Freighter played a vital role in post-war aviation and military transport around the world.

Come and see the first stages of the conservation work now underway at the museum.

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.🌺
