Experts Cup Rally 2026

Another day of ups & downs for us below in Collie. A stall on stage 1 with a string of quickest 2wd & Top 6 Outright stage times & splits amongst the Big machinery only to be let down with mechanical failure.

A broken steering rack on the first loop on Stage 2, some added bush mechanics fix and we were back to service where the Anthony & Steve changed out the front left corner and got us going again.

Few stages around the Collie Motorplex completed although I stupidly went the wrong way with the suspension dampening on the rear which ( I made suspension softer instead of stiffer ) led to an interesting time keeping it on the bitumen . 🫣 ( I’m blaming the JetLag )

Back out for the final loop were going 6th quickest again over Palmer although it was noticeable slower stage in places for us fighting for grip and corrugation ..

We finally came to a standstill on SS 7- McCluskey when the rear 4 link brackets let go and in turn snapped the Tailshaft.

Car had been stripped / accessed & we are hatching a plan to come back stronger & faster. 💪💪💪

Big thanks to Anthony & Steve in Service and for all the lads at BMG AUTOS who got car ready in my absence.
Superb on the notes was Johnny as usual keeping me going and motivated when things not going our way.

Car 10 for next weekend’s Land Surveys Experts Cup Rally based out of Collie WA.

A change of plans from competing in the Donegal International Rally to returning to Western Australia to compete in Round 3 of the Steelweld Fabrication Perth WA Rally Championship.
