𝟏𝐬𝐭 𝐗𝐈 𝐒𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥 𝐁𝐨𝐲𝐬 𝐂𝐮𝐩 – 𝐖𝐫𝐚𝐩 𝐔𝐩

A great few days of cricket saw the 1st XI Secondary School Boys Cup come to a close, with Kings High School taking out the title on DLS in a tight final against Otago Boys High School, who finished as runners up.

Despite some weather interruptions, there were outstanding performances across the tournament.

A big thanks to all players, coaches, officials, and supporters who contributed to a fantastic few days.

QBE Insurance First XI Girls Bates Cup was a huge success, with Otago Girls’, Columba, and St Hilda’s battling it out for a spot at the Girls 1st XI Cup later this year. Plenty of competitive cricket and awesome moments across the tournament.

Big congratulations to St Hilda’s for taking it out 🏆

Some standout performances:
• Ella Bezett – an outstanding 101* off 74, earning her Player of the Tournament honours
• Libby Fox – 4–14, followed by 3–6

Awesome to see the talent on display and the continued growth of girls’ cricket in the region. Thanks to all players, coaches, and supporters who made it such a great few days!

Play underway in very warm conditions in Alexandra for the Junior Boys Secondary School festival. Teams from James Hargest College, Taieri College, Māruawai College, Trinity College, Wakatipu High School and Cromwell College are playing 2 x T20 games today and a 40 over game tomorrow.
