Final Round – Let’s Finish Strong!
Tonight is the final round of our Bathgate Tag Football Module for the 25/26 season, so let’s get down there and finish on a high.
It’s also the final conditioning game for our U14’s team before they travel to Auckland with our U12’s, so come down and support the kids as they get their last run in.
A big thank you to everyone who took part in our very first tag module as a club. Your support means a lot and helped make this a great start for tag football in Dunedin.
We’re looking forward to seeing you all again later in the year, because big things are coming for Tag Football in Dunedin.
So come down for a final run. Everyone is welcome.

U14 vs open grade

What an awesome night of tag for our kids as they prepare to head away next week. It was great to see our U12s mixing it with the older players in the first two games, showing plenty of courage and skill.
The final game of the night saw our U14s take on a very fast open team made up of older players and parents in what was used as a conditioning match before they front up against other nations in Auckland next weekend. The U14s struck first against the open side, setting the tone for an exciting 40 minutes of high-speed, energetic tag football.
Our U14 Aotearoa Māori Mixed team found themselves trailing 23–20 with just two minutes to play. In a thrilling moment, they scored a beautiful pirouette-style try right inside the bonus box to level the game at 23–23 with one minute remaining. Unfortunately, the open side managed to score right on full time.
What a game to referee.
Next week will be the final round of our tag module for the season. Come down and have one last run against our U12s and U14s before they fly out to compete at the Oceania Championships.
