Congratulations to all of our South Zone U16 and U18 Representative Teams who competed in Christchurch over the weekend.

Our athletes represented their centres with pride, showing great skill, determination, and sportsmanship throughout the tournament.

A huge thank you to all players, coaches, managers, umpires, and supporters who helped make the weekend a success.

Our U18s are back on Southland soil after cancelled flights on Monday evening which seen the team spend an extra night in Christchurch.

Monday seen our girls have two games to finish off their Kings Birthday Tournament in Christchurch.

Semi Final v Te Tai Poutini U18
26- 37 Win

Final v North Otago U18
35 - 28 Loss

Finished in 12th spot !

A huge thank you goes out to the management team Hannah Mckenzie and Hemaima Eichstaedt for all your hard work this weekend !

Netball Eastern Southland Centre runs the Netball New Zealand Future Ferns Netball programme for all primary aged students each Wednesday afternoon during Term 3. We will be taking registrations from the 8th of June and will advertise the link to register on this page. The link will remain open for 2 weeks and then we will organise teams and get information out to participants.

As the Eastern Under 18 team prepare to head away to Christchurch to compete in the Kings Birthday Tournament they would like to Thank everyone for all their support with their fundraising for their 2026 campaign. It has been HUUGE!!
Our main raffle of 1/2 a cattle beast was drawn today under Police Supervision, massive thanks to the McHutcheon Family for their generosity and also Cody and the team at GoodMeats Butchery.
