Remembering Pete Smith

A Gore Wanderers senior team memeber from the 1970's era, who sadly passed away recently. Pete was also a Eastern juniors representative coach and team coach for the West Gore football club. Alongside his wife Carol they worked tirelessly for junior football in Eastern Southland.

We remember and thank Pete for all the time an effort put in for Eastern Southland football.

Senior games this long weekend, the women draw a bye in the Knockout cup so have Saturday off, while all men's teams are at home, looking to bounce back from previous results 🔴⚫️

Week five for our juniors will be played this Wednesday afternoon/evening to accommodate the long weekend, so please make note of the times -

6th & 8th - 🕟 4:30pm
10th - 🕓 4:00pm

The road between the grounds will not be closed, make sure you are extra careful when crossing over

There will be a BBQ on site in the morning, alongside our resident coffee cart, keeping players fueled and supporters warm 😋

Sponsors and life members are welcome to park up in the gazebo to enjoy the games with refreshments provided while senior games are in play 🎪

After the games we warmly invite sponsors, members and supporters back to the clubrooms for more refreshments and entertainment to round out the evening 🎉
