Last corner and we're onto the home straight!

The boys are still running strong and, thankfully, there were no thoughts of taking a little detour onto the ice this time!

After everything from the first day, I'm calling that a win!

Straight down the home stretch and towards the finish — a pretty awesome way to end another morning out on the trail.

A nice little bit of uphill work with Dad's help as we start heading towards the finish.

The boys are still working hard and keeping a really good pace, even with the climb starting to make things a little more interesting.

Having a bit of extra help heading into the finish definitely didn't hurt either!

Back into our trotting this time, settling into a much more consistent pace.

The boys are looking really comfortable here and seem to have found a nice rhythm between each other.

It's been really cool watching the difference between the first day and now. They're starting to understand what we're asking of them and, more importantly, starting to work it out together.

We've hit a nice little lope now and the boys are really starting to find their rhythm.

Then came a little confusion when they spotted a familiar face (Brya Ingram Photography) on the side of the trail!

Apparently seeing someone they know is excellent "on bye" training, because the boys had to decide whether stopping to say hello was more important than carrying on with the race.

Thankfully, the race won this time!

Extremely focused on those nice, fast trots through the cool shade.

This was one of those sections where everything just seemed to come together. The boys were moving well, staying focused and making the most of the cooler conditions.

It's always nice when you get a section of trail like this where you can just sit back, watch the dogs work and enjoy the moment.

The boys are running really well now, and they're even starting to step the pace up a little compared to the day before.

They're looking a lot more comfortable working together, and it's really nice seeing them settle into their rhythm!

They definitely enjoy running together!

Day 2 of our big trip away, and we decided to change the setup around a little to see how the boys would handle it.

This was the same single-file trail we had run a few weeks earlier, so it was going to be interesting to see how they approached it this time around.

After a nice, smooth pass from Alex and his team, the boys settled straight into their trotting groove and seemed pretty happy with the new setup.

It was a really nice start to the morning, and you could tell they were feeling good and ready to get moving!

The last little bit, and they're still running strong!

Although someone might need to remind them that they're Sibes, not retrievers...

Swimming is definitely not part of the race!

"That's a bit pretty."

"Yep, it is. Now shut up and enjoy the run!"

They've definitely figured out this running-together thing now. Watching them settle in and work alongside each other like this is really something special.

It's so nice to watch them run together, and honestly, it makes me smile every single time.
