CHECK OUT MY FIRST HEAT AT RUAPUNA IN A MIDGET!!

A great night of racing for the I AM HOPE 45m.
The driver is SLOWLY entering higher and faster but the car was so much fun to drive, it does everything I need it to. Thanks to BSL!
I really can’t wait to get my elbows up and throw some sliders with it once I’ve upped my entry speed.
Thanks to all the drivers for the clean racing (Except Ben 🤣) I had so much fun.
Out of 8 cars I managed a 5th, 8th and 7th, slowly improving but still lots of driver mistakes happening.

Huge massive shout out to Jeremy Webb! A throw back to my second season of racing in his team, he’s an unreal driver coach. He helped so much to start changing my driving style to suit the midget. Seriously grateful 🙏🏻
And congrats to him on P1 in the TQ feature!

And thank you to RB Motorsports and Bradley on the quad for the extra help on the night. The TQ family really rallied behind me to make last night work. Thank you!

I’m loving being in a midget, I’m very grateful to the people around me and thankful I get to showcase I AM HOPE while I do so.

Let’s raise some money for I AM HOPE charity!

I will be at Ruapuna tomorrow and Baypark next Saturday selling raffle entries to raise money for the mental health charity I AM HOPE.

The dream would be that the speedway community raises the most in NZ towards their charity- bring your cash!

Entries are available to be purchased via bank transfer through the instructions provided.

First meeting in a Midget Car… ✅

I still can’t stop smiling, I can’t believe I just raced a midget at Baypark Speedway… WHAT?!

I just want to say the biggest thank you to BSL, the whole team have been so incredibly friendly and supportive. And I couldn’t have asked for a better introduction into Midgets. Truly awesome people!

Tomo and Andrew Farnan are the dream team and had the car feeling so nice- having Andrew there to translate my waffle into what I wanted the car to feel like into set up was unreal- he never misses!
And thank you so much to Lachlan on the pink bike (with matching glasses 😎) and my partner Ben for flying up to help make the night run smoothly 🙏🏻

I opted to start off the back all night, just because I’m still learning how to control the car and didn’t want to accidentally wreck anyone’s gear. The heats were awesome! Slowly building confidence and having a few fun tousles.
The feature was green, white, checkered… and very humbling 😅 Midgets are a completely different ball game to TQs and they really need entry speed to set up the corner! I just couldn’t get myself high enough on entry and kept getting stuck in the slick. We all know that’s the slowest place to be! Driving amongst some of the best in NZ was so cool though and I learnt a lot- I have a lot to work on and I can’t wait to get back in!

45M MIDGET FIRST WASH 🧼

LOTS learned for me!
Methonal lessons, NO MOISTURE 🚫, fuel filters, ultrasonic machines, enigine prep…. These cars are soooo much more fun!

Thank you team Patchett, Scott Buckley and Andrew Farnan for the lessons while also working on their own cars. I’m learning so much and incredibly grateful to be surrounded by such a wealth of knowledge.

Bring on the green flag this Saturday I say! 🏁

One door closes.. another one opens!

Never in my wildest dreams would I have believed it, if I had been told one day I’d be racing my own midget, NO WAY.

But thanks to the incredible people at BSL, I’ll be giving it a shot this season!

I’m super excited, super nervous and hugely grateful for this opportunity.

Thank you so much to Andrew, Thomas, Bill and the BSL team for everything they have done this far to make it all happen.

And to Cam, who is very talented! I presented him with some scribbles on a piece of paper (quite literally) and some very vague descriptions and he smashed the design out of the park! Thank you for supporting my racing since day one.

I’ll be “balling on a budget” this year. Midget racing is no joke! So if anyone has any interest in joining the team by helping with running costs through sponsorship- flick me a message!
