Our Brushes & Nourishing Brunch yesterday brought together a wonderful group of creative people.

It was a fun, relaxing and super creative morning with good food, painting and great company.

Can’t wait to see how everyone finishes their artwork. More photos and finished paintings coming soon!

Our next one is coming up at Epsom Community Centre on 10 October. And yes, we will definitely be back at Highland Park Community House soon.

Creative Soul: Where Art Meets Mindfulness
Facilitate by - Anju Desai
Presented by Onehunga Community Centre

Yesterday’s meditative art class was nothing short of magical. 💫 We came together as a beautiful mix of cultures, stories, and creative minds—each of us walking the same path of self-expression and inner calm.

Through colours, we found a connection.
Through creativity, we discovered stillness.

Our teacher gently guided us on how to mix shades, create depth and distance, and most importantly—listen to our inner artist. The session was filled with playful Q&A moments that helped everyone open up and share their own ideas.

We explored not just painting but the freedom to choose, the joy of experimenting, and how creativity can be a path to mindfulness and healing.

Whether you’re new to art or just looking for a soulful pause, these classes are designed to help you align your mind and spirit—one brushstroke at a time.

Hello lovely ones,
As we step into the new year and gently find our rhythm again, I just wanted to pause, say thank you, and wish you a very happy New Year ✨
Thank you for being part of my journey — for your presence, your support, your trust, your words, your hugs, and your quiet encouragement. Last year was meaningful and deeply grounding for me, and that is because of the people I am surrounded by.
“One step at a time” was my mantra, and it still feels very true as we move into 2026. I wish you an abundance of energy, love, kindness, and support in everything you do and share this year. And if the year is starting slowly, that is perfectly okay.
I feel deeply grateful for the beautiful community I work with, for the gold-hearted Kiwi people who walk alongside me in collaboration, and for every soul who connected and shared space with me. None of what I do happens alone.
There is a saying I love — when you want something from the bottom of your heart, the whole community, even the tiniest speck in nature, comes together to support it. You only need to want it wholeheartedly.
As we move forward, my intention is to continue creating spaces for wellbeing, creativity, stillness, and care. Spaces where people can connect, feel supported, and feel at home within themselves and with one another.
I wish you a gentle start to the year, and with that, may everything unfold for you with ease 🌿
Thank you for being here, and I look forward to creating magic together in 2026.
✨

As Term 2 comes to an end, we are celebrating all that we have shared and achieved together since the beginning of the year.

We have made so many wonderful friends and created memories that will stay with us for a long time. As always, we finished the term with a social gathering, and this time our Onehunga group enjoyed a lovely dinner together.

It was a beautiful evening of connection, sharing stories, learning about each other's journeys, where we come from, and what our future plans are. Moments like these remind us that our dance classes are about much more than learning steps – they are about building friendships and community.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for being part of our Term 2 classes. Your energy, support, and enthusiasm make these classes so special.

We look forward to seeing you again in Term 3!
